Whales are pretty smart !!!

thats the main reason why i really didnt want this debate to start because it dosnt go any where EVER. Ive had this debate many of times with different people and it always ends the same way sombody gets mad and a fight starts

I agree. Yet I have never really gotten into a serious debate with someone over this issue. Usually with me the debates center around Biblical issues. Mainly with groups that are heretical in their beliefs.

Me neither. Ill share my opinion once in a while, but I hardly get into a full fledge debate. And sometimes people decide that Im automatically wrong because I dont follow an organized religion. So they dont even try to debate me. They believe they are right from the beginning. Oh well. Anyways back to whales. :D They rock. :)
 
Has anyone here seen the video clip of when a whale got beached in I think Washington state, and died?? And some guy got a bright idea to fill it with explosives, assuming the blast would push it back into the ocean, only to find that chunks the size of cars were thrown up to a mile away?? I think I saw it on some show called something like Stupid People Caught on Tape. The clip is also on snopes.com.

I dont think it was some guy I think it was a team of people who thought that blowing it up would actually get rid of it. Has anybody seen pictures of a dead whale that was being transported through the city and it just blew up by itself and spread guts all over the streets?

No I haven't. But I have heard of such things happening. The gasses build in the carcass due to heat and decomposition. Eventially the body pops like a balloon, sending entrails flying. It smells bad too.  :sick
