What are the biggest overrated and underrated series/games in your opinion?

For me.

Most overrated is Halo 2. By far it wins. It goes beyond any ff game.

Underrated...the Persona games...or Valkyrie Profile (I had this game from day one. So don't tell me I got it because it is popular :) Guide too) for psx...
 
Halo is probably the most overrated, however I still think it is the best multiplayer FPS experience on consoles.

Underrated, not sure. I'll think about it.

I'm a bit sick of people complaining about negative opinions about Halo. So what if it gets a few?

And that's all it is, a few. At least compared to the amount of people that think it's the best game ever.
 
im not saying its the best game ever

but honestly halo gets more crap from everyone on this site...

......it makes me mad

enjoy good games people, dont complain about them. they are few and far between these days

Its an opinion Hines. I don't think its worth the hype it gets and I have played both. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they're wrong.
 
Well, that's what's gonna happen on a message board, people are gonna state their opinions. No-ones purposely dissing the game to get on your nerves.

And I can think of maybe 2 people, myself included, that doesn't like the series.
 
Overrated - Metal Gear Solid series. Seriously Snake, just die now.

Underrated - Electroplankton for DS. Truly a game that can only be appreciated by those who can appreciate good appreciative games.

They should have quit after 2...snake eater was good...but not replayable for me like mgs was.

and...why is someone getting pissy because a few people think halo is overrated.

Halo 2 was an okay game. It received way too much praise for what it is. Hence, it's far overrated.

As for the whole pc is better thing...

Let's compare Crysis and Halo 2

Unreal Tournament and Halo 2

Pc graphics to console graphics even in 1080p...

Just a few issues I like to raise.

Sure pc's cost more. However, they get better fps, have better visuals. Are overall better >.> for me. And guess what. I can use a 360 control or an xbox,ps2,gc,snes,nes,genesis control all on my pc. Mouse and Kb too. OH MY GOD. UNIVERSAL STATUS.

I'm off to health...

EDIT : Also, I have halo + halo 2 on both xbox and pc. The pc version is beyond superior. But that's just me. I can't play the xbox version anymore. The horrid graphics hurt my weak little retinas.

Overrated: Final Fantasy X

Underrated: Dead to Rights. NOBODY I know has heared of it! Not even someone I know who has the damn game
