What are the biggest overrated and underrated series/games in your opinion?

Overrated? Hard to say. I completely disagree with the people who say Halo is overrated. I say it's just popular. Like it? Great. Hate it? Don't play it.

Underrated? Rygar for the PS2 by a long shot. Fun to play. Great graphics, and awesome musical score. God of War in my opinion ripped this game off...
 
For what it's worth, I think Halo: Combat Evolved is worth most of the praise it gets.

Halo 2, on the other hand, is overrated IMO.

@Boom :Ruined the series entirely. Just wasnt good.
 
Gameplay Graphics Music....just ruined. The storyline really didn't do anything good for the game. not worth $5 >:(
 
Overrated - Ocarina of Time. It was just... really average. :/

Underrated has to be Contact for the DS. That game was awesome, although really hard.

Yes, I personally think it's the greatest game and I don't agree that it's overrated.

However, it's an action/adventure game. What if your favorite genre is rpgs or fps? Then you might indeed think that OoT is overrated compared to your favorite rpg or fps. I know plenty of Halo fans that think OoT is overrated. Are they right? Sure, in their point of view. In a difference of opinion both opinions can be right. That's why they are opinions, and not fact.
