Bump.
Well, now that the 360 is out with the Revolution (I refuse to call it "Wii") and the PS3 soon to follow (I hope), have any opinions changed?
Personally, I'm afraid that Nintendo will get pushed out cuz they don't like the name (they can just call it the Revolution), or because of several other bad decisions Nintendo has made. Or that Nintendo will get pushed out cuz its different.
Also, that the PS3 will cost way too much (then again, maybe no one will buy it at that price and it will be a set back to Sony).
As someone said before, all the hacking and cheating with connections and whatnot.
I didn't necessarily mean that companies would cop out by rehashing tried and true franchises (though that would be bad) I more meant that companies would simply not be able to develop games, or not develop as many as they wanted, because more attention has to be focused on each individual game.
I'm not sure I fully understood what was said there, but from what I got out of it I will say this: I hope that companies do spend more time on games (A hint to EA). Several games like RE4 were pushed back by months and they turned out great. I'm not saying I want to wait 5 years for a new game to come out, but it would be nice if they didn't just pump them out as fast as they could.
But still, as it was said before, I don't want the price of games to skyrocket either. $50 is bad enough for me.
And also, I hope attention turns to something other than graphics for a while. As much as I like good graphics, I don't want it to consume the whole game.
