What do you do for work? What do you want to do?

I worked in video game retail for almost four years before I just recently decided I wanted to go back to school.

Ideally I would like to become a journalist and still work in the video game industry. Maybe write for a gaming magazine or start a webcomic with a few of my friends.

Being in a game magazine is another idea of mine.....Thats sounds great. Hope everything turns out well if it happens.
 
Actually, I work as an assistant manager at a retail store. I started in highschool part time, and was hired on full time in 1999. Good thing is the company is a privately owned one, so no crappy red tape.
 
I wash dishes at my family's restaurant. Owning the place has its perks, that's for sure. Been working there since May, pulling in $6 an hour.

I would like to join the military (I would like to become a paratrooper like my grandfather) and then once I'm done, run my family's restaurant. And maybe expand, own multiple restaurants.
 
I work part time doing landscaping and gardening projects.

I guess I don't have an ideal profession in my head..I can think of a number of cool ones that some of you have already mentioned..but hmmmm.............
 
I go to school (next month starts senior year of high school). Um...I like, do good and my dad gives me money lol. Other than that i just kinda pwn. I do tournaments here and there for side cash ^.^ Hopefully i do good in a ddr/itg tourny 18-19th. Once 18 i'll start looking into CGS (www.thecgs.com) a bit. lol. Full time though id probably be like an anastegiologis. Things to fall back on are history/computer teacher, or ot like go major in computer programming and go somewhere with that.
 
I do many jobs................................ (the following can not be shown due to the fact of it being not allowed to be shown, discussed or talked about from this personal).

But when I get out of school, I'm getting into the army. Rght now, most likely as a Combat Engineer. But I'd like an apprenticeship somewhere in the I.T. department of the army.

And as a side job, Novelist. I've already got two books..... just gotta get hem published! Oh, and games too. I like making games!!!! :rockin :D
 
One thing I have learned in my life is if you find a job that you enjoy doing, then persue it. If it ain't fun, it ain't worth doing at all. That's the great thing about my job. It's constant fun all day long and I get paid pretty darn well for what I do.
 
Yeah. My dad was in the restaurant business, then went to automotive. He was immensely unhappy, so just recently he went back into the restaurrant business after buying a new one.
 
I used to work for a performing arts center that was connected to my high school, and it was a pretty cool job. For a few months I worked at a computer shop, which had its good and bad days, but not being trained really set me back. Right now I'm in college for getting into the game industry (though they seem bent on telling us the industry sucks). Ideally, I would like to go into the industry with some buddies and start our own little company, avoiding working with publishers and really focusing on our own games and doing what we want to do.
 
What're your minimum wages in your states? I'm in Massachusetts and it's $7.75 here. I make $10.30 and hour though, and $15.45 an hour on sundays.
 
As of right now, I sell drugs to babies.
I would like to later branch out into toddlers.

No but really, I kill people.
 
Minimum wage in Indiana just got raised from $5.15 to $5.85 about a month ago. I think next July it goes up to $6.85 and the July after that it goes to $7.85. I make $6 an hour though.
