What do you listen to...

...while playing video games?
I recently found myself listening to the new Angels and Airwaves CD. Its really good and it just came out last week. Their old CD was good but this one is way better. I heard some their stuff on their myspace and just bought it when it came out. You can listen to their stuff still on their myspace. [link removed]

You're not stupid, I am also a fan of AVA.

I usually just load up my flash drive with music and then plug it into my Xbox 360, or just listen to my stereo.

No need for that.

As for me, I usually hate listening to music other than the games music when I'm playing a game. The game music is always part of the experience for me, unless it's a sport game or something, but I never play sport games.

When I'm playing PC I either A) have it blasting so I'm in my game mode. or B)have it up but low enough to hear my team through my headset

But, When I'm console gaming for some reason I can't play with music on

I listen to my radio or go on YouTube just to listen to the music. I'll get back into PC gaming when my pc is fully fixed.

oh forgot what I listen to when I play....
well it depends on my mood, Usually Ska is the way to go, then Coheed, Powermetal, Hardcore, and finally Trance and Techno

Gears of War= Either LOTR or Star Wars soundtrack

Fire Emblem= Sting, Stevie Wonder, or Shania Twain

Runescape (like, 1000 years ago)= il divo

Advance wars= Actually, I did a cool thing for this game. I got an MP3 player and listened to the games music until I activated a CO power, then id put a song that fit the CO I was using. So, if I was using Sasha (Colins Sister) Id put on Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani, cause her power doubles your funds. When I activated Hawke's CO power, I played You know my Name by Chris Cornel. For max, I just played Bohemian Rhapsody cause thats all I could think of :lol

But yeah, it was really awesome and blood pumping.

I put "Pilgrimage" by Nine Inch Nails on repeat through a whole round of Command and Conquer once. :lol

I used to always play videogames while I listened to music. Jet Force Gemini and The Battle of Los Angeles album will forever be inseparable to me. However, I find that as technology improves and sound becomes more and more and integral part of the experience, I don't do that anymore. Even for sports games, I like to hear the commentators and crowd sfx.

Lately I've just been listening to the game's soundtrack. Halo especially, I don't listen to anything while I'm playing that, whether I'm doing the campaign or playing multiplayer. Same thing for Eternal Sonata and Metroid. They all have excellent scores to begin with, so there's no need to supplement them.

When I occasionally play FFXI, I listen to my Zune, though. But I don't play FFXI that often.

when I use my 360', I tend to just let the game roll on with its own music. usaula if its me playing with some freinds then I'll switch on the music Ive stuck on my 360', or we'll use a MP3 or something throguh the strereo.
if a racing game, i geenrally let it roll it's own tunes, and if the music on any other game I play suits the mood, then it gets left like that. BUT AS SON AS MY MOOD SHIFTS AND THE THEMES JUST AINT SATISFYIN, I'll rack on my own tunes straight from the 360' and listen to that.

On mY PC, I usaly have my media Player going regardless playing whatever tune suits my mood. :)
