What do you want to see in XBOX 2?

I would like to see some of the games that were supposed to be on the XBOX come out for XBOX 2.

Like Perfect Dark Zero, True Fantasy Live Online, and BC.

Games from Bungie besides Halo. They are awesome developers! :D

Better enforcement on Live as far as getting rid of cheaters and harassers.

Smaller hardware for better transportation (XBOXs are heavy to carry to LAN parties).

I hope they keep the HD for custom soundtracks.

Other than that, I will definitely be looking forward to XBOX 2. Do you think they'll let us keep our GamerTags?

I'm just hoping Xbox Live for Xbox 2 won't be laggier than a server of 32 players hosted on 56k dialup...

And I'm hoping they remove auto aim from FPS games. Too many noobs in Halo 2 with their instant headshots... Halo 2 sucks.

Sorry, I'm done ranting :D I'd like all that you said as well. Not sure about the GT's.

Either a hard drive or some other viable form of cheap mass storage...that's all I ask. After having my hard drive I've begun to hate memory cards with a passion (especially if you have a large number of sports games).

I want to see a stable system that doesn't have disc read errors, freezing/locked up games, and tendancies to die. It would also be nice if they used a GOOD DVD drive from the get go this time instead of the cheap crap that they used on 1st gen Xbox's. And if they cannot fix problems with HDD's getting corrupted ..then to hell with the HDD..just gimme a mem card. I'd also like to see it be backwards compatible with Xbox1 games...if they do not do that..I personaly think they are doomed.

Software ...I'd like to see something besides a new DOA, Halo, or ports of PC/PS2 games. In my opinion the only games worth owning on Xbox are KOTOR 1+2, Morrowind GOTY, Ninja Gaiden, Fable, and Halo 1+2...other than that...not really anything worth a crap thats not also available on PC/PS2/GC.

Does anyone think Microsoft is crazy by releasing the XBOX 2 at the end of 2005?

It almost feels like the Saturn/Dreamcast thing. Like...oh, the XBOX is losing us money, so let's hurry up and put the XBOX 2 out. I see where it could lend Microsoft an advantage to have the XBOX 2 come out before the PS3, but then again Sega tried that with the Dreamcast, launching it before the PS2, and look what happened.

Dreamcast > PS2

Easy to pirate media, not enough mainstream games in US, and too many new and unique concept games (Seaman, Shenmue, Rez, Floigan Bros, ect, ect) killed DC in US.

I will always think DC was, and ultimatly is...better than PS2.

But to stay on-topic...I think the Xbox 2 is a rush job..yeah for sure. I don't forsee it really helping MS as much as hurting them..I doubt it will be backwards compatible either...but hey...I could be wrong...my two fav systems of all time are pretty much loathed and hated by everyone else..so what do I know? :lol

Morrowind GOTY was horrible on the Xbox. Graphics were crap, it took longer to load then it took to beat Fable, etc. Get it for PC and don't waste money on the Xbox version.

I have both though, so don't listen to me :p

I don't even own an Xbox now...I sold my third and last one. But the reason I played Morrrowind on it instead of PC...I hate PC gaming..its uncomfortable for me to play on a PC...and my PC is not up to the current standards for playing such games...anyways..I cannot make a good rebutal on the graphics or anything as I've never played the PC version.

Trkorecky..If you play Morrowind on an old Xbox or one with a "thomson" drive it may be to slow to bear but I can honestly tell you that there is a huge difference in loading times and framerate with the "phillips" or "samsung" disk drives.

"I want to see a stable system that doesn't have disc read errors, freezing/locked up games, and tendancies to die."

Yup I agree and that's really my only concern as I'm sure the games will be there seeing as Xbox is growing in popularity.

personally... I don't care about the system.

I would like to see it go away from the norm.... to be a "console" system.. and not some media outlet.
But honestly, the box needs to distinguish itself better than the Ps2... anymore, the PS2 and Xbox get the same games... with a few variations.
It needs to have more unique games.

FYI.. I hate Marrowind 3 on the PC... and I don't like it on the Xbox either.
I got it free with my graphics card and IMO it was too boring.  I literally came close to falling asleep.  Granted I was tired though.

Wow, I never want to play it on an Xbox with a Thompson. It's slow enough on the Philips in my new Xbox...

Another thing i just thought of, for online games like Halo 2.......

maybe a voice activated typing system, when you send text messages to friends...........it hears the letter or word you are trying to say into the mike and types it out for you on the screen

only problem is, that isnt much different than voice messages

well, see, when i get around to checking voice messages is usually when i already have people in my party, and i cant hear the voice messages because my party members are talking too.....i dont know, it would just be cool

I have a phillips too trkorecky and it moves just fine imo. It's kinda one of those things you have to get used to cause over time I completely forgot about the lag and what not. I dunno, I just love that game so much that I'm willing to take some technical problems :)
