Deku tree = a talking tree from the Zelda series first appearing in Ocarana of Time if I'm not mistaken.

A Deku scrub is a young deku tree methinks...

To fix the errors. A Deku Scrub is just a lowly plant. The children of the Deku Tree would be Kokiri. Deku is just another way to say plant in Hyrule, due to there being things like Deku Babas.
