what happened to halo 2 ending?

well maybe it is just me.. but i was expecting a little more from halo 2s ending..

SPOILERS!!!!

WHEN CHIEF WAS ON THAT SHIP AND THE MUSIC STARTED PLAYING AND CHIEF SAID "IM FINISHING THIS JOB" REPLING TO THE WHITE GUY THATS BEEN IN CHARGE SINCE HALO 1 WHEN HE SAID "CHIEF WHAT THE HELL ARE U DOIN ON THAT SHIP"..   I PICKED UP THE CONTROLLER AND WAS READY FOR SOME MORE ACTION...  AND THEN.................

THE ENDING CREDITS CAME ON......    :'( :'( :'(   THAT WAS ONE OF THE WORST ENDINGS I HAVE EVER SEEN.. IM THINKING THEY DID THAT TO GET MORE MONEY ON ANOTHER HALO....    :-\     :'(
 
I'd agree. Halo 2 is great multi-player. The ending was disappointing after how great the initial story was with the bouncing between the Covenant Elite Arbiter and the UNSC's Spartan Master Cheif.

Oh, and the scene where Admiral Keyes (the daughter of the Keyes from Halo 1) goes running after the index with her hand out. That animation was just poor compared to the entire rest of the game. The ending seemed a little rushed and cheesy (no offense cheesehead :D)

thats funny :lol :lol :lol.. no prob man.. yeah i noticed the crappy sceens... i think they should have polished this game and finished it off.. not making any room for another halo.. i guess there just trying to make more money.. cuz u know theres gonna be another
 
Halo 3 is what happened to Halo 2's ending. They cut if off like that so they could make another sequel. Expect it to launch on the XBOX 2 right around the same time that the PS3 comes out.
 
I just beat Halo 2 yesterday (took me 27 days), and at the ending, I also picked up the controller expecting something awesome, and then, BAM! credits :'(. That's the first time I was ad when I beat a game, it's like aww, it's over!?! It worked through, now I want to buy Halo 3 when it comes out. Tartarus took forever to kill, but I barely did anything, I was running around, Shooting at him with a plasma rifle and occasionally the brute shot, then I stepped into that stupid purple thing, I was on the top level, shooting through the hole, the I dropped down to the middle level, looked over at where he was, and he was dead lol.
 
sucks huh? yeah when i told some of my friends they told me to join the crowd.. i disapprove of making a crappy ending to install another game to the series.. i guess xbox saw an opening to make more money/.
 
Halo 2 was made for the multiplayer, though they had an excellent storyline for single player.

But it seems more games nowadays are just setting up for sequels, which is fine in Halo's category, but the ending just wasn't fair for us.
 
Anyone who bought Halo 2 expecting an ending is stupid overly optimistic, M$ wouldn't kill a franchise like this even close to now. Anyways, Halo 1's story>Halo 2's story. Halo 2 was made for multipalyer, and so will Halo 3. Microsoft can see multipalyer, ecspecially online, is where consoles are going.
