The gauntlet has been thrown down I see...

For the past four years a friend of mine has hosted an annual "nerdfest" where we pick one movie saga/miniseries/collection of movies with something in common and we proceed to watch these movies all day (and most often night) long. Intermittently we stop to play a videogame or take a trivia quiz, the purpose of which is to award one of us nerds with a prize at the end of the nerdfest. The first one we ever did was the LOTR Special Editions, my friend actually made lembas bread and intermissions consisted of fast food runs. Last year we watched the Firefly series and then watched Serenity. At intermissions we played Guitar Hero, and tournament elimination style determined a victor who received a BK crown and an action figure of Jane. One year I even won a Star Wars tablecloth which I still use to this day. :lol

It's the one day of the year when I act as nerdy in real life as I do on these boards, lol. Really though, it's a lot of fun. People come and go throughout the day, staying for some parts and whatnot. It's been growing every year too, people are encouraged to dress up and use cheezy quotes as much as possible. It is incredibly nerdy, but it's great.
 
Ive spent more time in Shadow of the Colossus than Kingdom Hearts 2.
Ive also beaten God of war on God mode :rockin

Psh, who doesn't? I still have the 300+ I collected over the years sitting in some huge box in the basement.

Man, I spent so much freaking money on those things, including $40 for a Charzard
 
i could literally make more than $1000 with all my rare and promotional yugiho and pokemon cards i have. i should do that to get an hdtv or ps3 some time

lol, same. I must have all promo cards from Pokemon The First Movie. Me and my band of Pokemaniacs must have seen it in theaters at least 3 times. :lol

O another thing I remember:

I did a programming project all in 1337 text and got an A

EDIT: ZOMG!!!! I just looked at my RPG from that class. I did a pokemon Text based RPG
 
I forgot to mention I have both a Cactuar and Tonberry plushie. Tonberry even has a hoodie, and Cactuar's arms and legs are posable :D
 
I wrote a report on Bungie and the huge sucess of Halo....
I got a A+. My teacher really enjoyed reading it. :lol
I write doujinshi for games and manga. :lol (I have alot of spare time...)
I cried at the end of King Kong. (2006 version)
I have a can of Game Fuel unopened.
I have a bottle of Game Fuel emptied out but still saved.
Read Ghost of Onyx 4 times.
 
I still play Yu-Gi-Oh (I spent over $150 on my deck, I better darn well still play it)
I buy games for systems I don't own.
I cry in almost every movie. :-[
I act out parts of video games and movies at work with my friends.
I've read the first 2 chapters of Halo: Fall of Reach about 25 times cause I can never finish anything I start.
I put Halo toys in the suggestion box at work... Man that would kick ass if there were Halo McD toys...

Yes I did :D

I got one of my friends that's a girl an Axel figurine. It was supposed to be for her birthday, but she couldn't wait anymore, and demanded I give it to her on Halloween night. She wouldn't leave until she got it either. :lol
 
My friends and I quote everything nerdy. Red Vs. Blue is the most popular, but stuff from Drawn Together is pretty high up there. We also use quotes from D&D sessions outside of D&D.
