what is up with the PS3 commercial w/ the baby?!

After reading the youtube reviews, apparently it's supposed to reference 2001 Space Odyssey or something.

Nice going Sony, not that many people have read the books or seen the movie.

I can see it now:

"Hey we need a commercial for our PS3..."

"I GOT IT! How about we put baby doll in a big white room, staring at a PS3, and make different noises. Oh, and have a game run in its eyes. There's no way our viewers won't know what we're talking about!".

Sorry Sony, not a good ad. Try again.

What's up... they have a huge marketing push / budget (then again.. all launch systems are supposively sold)... why waste their money on a commercial like that?

Lol I couldn't say they're as bad at the Wii comercials with the people acting like every game's a real life event. :lol
 
Congrats  ;D

Sony doesn't have to try hard at all in commercials cause everyone already knows what to expect. Sony was the top-dogs last time around and this time it's either gonna be them or Microsoft. They really don't have to try commercial-wise at all.

The commercial is weird.. but you're all missing the point.. the PS3 is so great, it can make an inanimate object shed tears.. not since the catholic view of the virgin mary has something else been that cool!

um... that commercial was far from cool... :lol

that was worse than the Super Mario Sunshine commerciall... which was horrible too...
