what is your favorite PC game soundtrack?

I would have to say Quake 2 had my favorite soundtrack... especially the expansion ground zero. Sonic Mayhem made some killer songs on that.

Anyone else agree?

Probably Morrowind, that game has an awsome soundtrack. However the music playing in the background at the beggining of Operation Overlord in MW4: Mercs, with Victor Davion's monologue always gets me in the mood to slag the oncoming Steiner forces.

I thought that the music for Tom Clancy's: Splinter Cell was pretty good. Kinda creepy. Very dark, spy type music. Perfect for the game. :af

I've been meaning to get that one! Enter The Matrix has pretty good music. And also Tony Hawk 3.

yes, Tony Hawk has some great music...

but still by far, I love Sonic Mayhem's music on the Quake 2 sound tracks! They rule!!

Halo PC has some cool songs.

For consoles, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle had some cool tunes.

Quake soundtrack by Trent Reznor (NIN)
Descent II soundtrack featuring Ogre (from Skinny Puppy) and Type O Negative

I've got to say that the music for Starcraft is excellent as well.

For the PC, I'd say Hexen. Its a little repetitive at times, but I found some of the songs to be done quite well. Heck, i can play a few of them on my Bass! They're like a mix of MIDI and Orchestra.

GC, I think Ikaruga or SA2B get my vote. Or maybe DDR, I like Techno alot for some reason...
