I have a soundblaster audigy.... is the Audigy 2 good?

I plan to get the Audigy2 ZS GAMER for Xmas.  I hear it's one of the best, and I'd never use half the features of the Platinum edition.  Gamer comes with 5 games!

I also hope to pair these up with a nice set of Logitech Z-680's for a rockin' time!  (actually, I wanted the 5300 but Newegg seems to not have them anymore...  Oh well, the Z-680's are much better)

I was looking at the platinum... so you are going with gamer? dang... those are 5 decent games (well... 4 decent gmes... and a worthless tombraider lol)

I like the speakers (I might consider those).... I was looking at Creative labs 7.1 speaker system.... 700 RMS watts?!
 
Very nice. I can't spend too much, since my parents don't really want me spending any on my PC at all. I'm going to need to find room for the 5.1 as it is, so 7.1 would be overkill in my room.

I already have Halo PC and Tombraider, so those two would be useless to me.

yea... the 7.1 is prob too expensive for me too.....

I have monsoon Planar Media 9's right now (the flat panel speakers)

They have pretty darn good sound... and I 'll probably have to stay with them when its all said and done with.

:lol I know what you mean. I had a pair of Harmon Kardon's like that.

Yeah.. I love these monsoon speakers as the base kicks nice and hard... and the mids/highs come out of the heavy satellites nicely. They are odd... as the sound comes off flat coils... supposively..... but they do sound nice.
