What Video Game "Pet Peeves" Do You Have?

Hi All,

One of my Pet peeves is "Instant Death" attacks from monsters in RPG's regardless of how high you damn character level is.

Limited health items in the area or weird glitches that cause you to fail. (Like a zombie standing in the door way when there's a tank in the area...)
 
One hit and I am dead. The peeve that comes in second place is the "back to the beginning of the stage" when you get wiped out. Those two stand out more than any other.
 
Yeah, escort missions get my vote too. Well, done well they aren't bad, but its the poorly done ones (95% of them) that irritate me to death. Dead Rising is one of the worst offenders... GREAT game, but the NPC AI was godawful...
 
I hate it in RGPs when poison hurts you after the battle. I don't remember which game it was, but i know it was on the PS1. Anyways the antidotes were pretty scarce, and if you were poisoned in battle, might as well call it quits...
 
One thing I don't like about "Radiata stories" is,if you get attacked from behind("Ambushed"),you're immediately inflicted with a sweet dose of "Confuse" type status.
 
Lack of save points on extremely long levels : Dumb AI's in escorting missions : Moronic allied steam members: Games that send you back to the start : Bosses that learn a new way to kill you just as you learn how to counter their last move : Glitches that mean your enemy can land a shot, but for some reason your own bullet goes through their head without harm : Jumps that need the absolute perfect run off to make; one bit off and bye bye

These are but a few that all get my vote, and they vary however depending on the game itself.
 
Motion Blur! This graphical effect doesn't look cool, it doesn't make the game look better, it doesn't raise the framerate (it only gives the illusion of that sometimes). Even if realistic is what the developer is trying to achieve, it's not even that! So many games these days use it and I can't stand it. Every PC game that has an option for it, I always turn it off, the game looks much prettier and more crisp. Motion blur actually makes things look worse in my opinion.
