What would you do?

If you had the ability to do whatever you wanted?

I don't mean if you had an unlimited amount of money or no responsibilities or anything like that, I just mean if you had a totally free afternoon this weekend, given your current income and situation and all that, what would you choose to do?

I ask because today I had that opportunity, and I mostly just napped. It felt like a huge waste, but it got me thinking that answering the question "what do I want to do?" is way tougher when I'm actually in a position to do it.
 
I think that I was thinking along these lines this week. I suddenly began thinking as I was driving to work, I am spending 20 minutes of my life every morning driving to work. I chose to spent 45 minutes of my life last night watching Star Trek: TNG. I think it was just adjusting my perspective and seeing things in that light that got me to pondering that each moment I and spending my life choosing in doing something and there is no going back. It has been spent. It was kind of a weird experience. Normally I just go about doing things and not really thinking about it.

This weekend, starting today, I will choose to spend some time with the Family, do a little gaming, watch another episode of Star Trek: TNG. And do a little napping.
 
Right now if I had a free afternoon I'd take a very long nap. I've got two kids, full time job, part time school, and several "I'll get around to it as soon as I can" commitments. ha, I guess talking about it on a forum doesn't help the time situation, but yeah, its break time.
 
Ha! That makes me feel better. It's not often a guy can just kick back and have a nap. Or two. :lol

And retro, I don't know why, but I think like that a lot. It's probably not healthy for me to do it as much as I do, but I think it's important to do every once in awhile.
 
I have too many options, so I always find this a hard decision to make.

I either end up playing video games, reading a book, or surfing Tumblr.

I generally only feel like I wasted time if I stay on Tumblr, though.
 
Well I had nothing to do today so I got a jump on my algorithm/data structure homework. It's the first time this semester that I started an assignment more than a couple days before it's due XD
 
I would probably rest and catch up on stuff... I've had to make a lot of choices and cut things out because life is just too busy. But... If I had an afternoon to myself, I definitely would rest a bit... maybe game a bit, and then catch up on crap that I need to get done.

Heck, I Would love to find some more time to post here :(
