what would you say if we held a new contest?

eh? what would you all say if we had another contest for a game or something?

drop your opinions here... and should we do another review contest? or what?

I, personally, would rather see something that everybody could do (not that everybody can't write...not everybody has time or the skills I guess). A quiz would be neat, something with lots of questions, 50ish maybe. And you can't make it real easy...especially if your giving a game away.
 
The quiz thing sounds ok but it would be hard setting it up so that nobody could cheat. It would also be very hard trying to come up with good questions that everybody has some knowledge with. I personally think we should stick with reviews of some sort, that way, everybody has a fair shot.
 
You could maybe set it up in a chat, or if someone has time problems schedule an individual one, and there they'll get all of the questions and have a certain amount of time to answer them.
 
I don't think a quiz is a very good idea...almost any answers on such a thing can easily be googled.

If you don't want to do a review..I would suggest an old fashioned name drawing done by you (Bluevoodu)

As in a monthly name drawing? Different prize every month or something?

That'd be cool, but probably expensive for BV.

Well I meant more along the lines of a one-time drawing for this particular contest...monthly would be asking a bit too much of good ol Blue :lol

I just think a drawing would be more fair for everyone here...some people may not have the time or talent for writing a review ect.

Prehaps we could all just pick a number between a certain number range...and Blue draws the number..and whoever is closest to the number wins..something like that..or heck he could just draw names of the members here...but I think it would be better to do the numbers..that way people would actually have to enter the contest in some way...by picking their lucky number.

We could start a thread for this..and first come fiirst serve on the number pickings...that way we would eleminate any chance of people having the same number. Just an idea....
 
Huh? So your saying leave it up to random luck? I'm not much for that. I like the idea of "earning" the prize. I highly doubt anybody here couldn't write some sort of review and I'm also for the reviews because that way BV get's something out of the deal :)

I don't know, I would be ok for another review contest, I just wish I would get back into wrinting game reviews, I used to do it all the time.
 
Well, I think the point of writing reviews for the contest is that BV gets to use the reviews on his site. That way he gets something out of the whole deal. Answering a quiz would mean that he would have to take the time to make a quiz, and then give a game away to whoever answered it best. I don't think that idea really pans out.

If everyone was equal then no one would win anything. A review contest works because everyone has the equal opportunity to write one, and BV can use them on his site. I wouldn't mind doing another one, but first everyone that wants to participate should say so, and this time they should go through with it.

My GOD, it's just like what I asked in a different form of a question of "What's the Catch" :o this guy is AMAZING!! Extended verison of a question! woot!
