What's the longest time you've gamed straight???

Ya, we tried it, except for 16 player LAN you'd need 8 Xboxes and 8 TV's. For some reason when you play LAN on that game you can only have 2 people per console. It's not like the Xbox can't handle it, it's just Microsoft pushing Xbox Live as much as they can.

halo is good, but usually half the group loses interest. that's why we do it pc lan, not console. last much much longer with more variety in that many games. i'm trying to get people for an 8 person socom lan, but it's tough getting people that have socom and a network adapter. but i have done 8 player timesplitters 2 for about 7 hours straight. only thing crappy bout that is no bots

I heard that EverQuest and Diablo 2 is the most addicting game. The reason that I'll never start it is that I heard of suicide cases that dubbed EverQuest as EverCrack. What I hate about playing so long without stopping for a break is the Carpal Tunnel Syndrome I always receive. :crazy

Amped 2 has system link 2-8. I don't know if that's the kind of game a person can play for hours on end though. But I do enjoy it in short bursts of time.

i do that in final fantasy's sometimes, and it's nice when i'm not play with an active battle system :D
diablo 2 is something we play over internet rather than lan. just hasn't need the massive amount of communication like shooters can take

I dunno, me and my friends aren't really into sports games, I don't think Amped 2 would hold our interest for too long.

And those suicide cases about Everquest... nobody kills themself over a game, even one as insanely addictive as Everquest. It's just anti-videogame propaganda, these people had major problems in their life that pushed them over the edge.

Last that I can remember, I gamed on KOTOR for 13 hours straight, but I did take breaks to eat so I don't know if that counts.
9 hrs non stop KOTOR 1(no joke):ashamed:(really)
:-[ :'(

Probably 34-48 hours playing Ultima Online sometime in 98-99.

I spent thousands and thousands (possibly over ten thousand) of hours with that game.

And I'd never trade the experiences I got for the world.

a full day it was cool as

ah ratchet and clank

edit: i mean since i got up till i went to bed

Well,I treat my systems like my children,so I never worked them that hard, and only a couple hours at a time nowadays

I can't remember exactly, but I played Perfect Dark for about 6 hours with a friend.7-8 playing Super Mario World.Goldeneye at a friend's house for at least 13 hours.Roller Coaster Tycoon for nearly 12 hours.5 hours on the original Bomberman.6 hours on DK 64.Hours upon hours of getting my butt handed to me at Halo,on Xbox Live(only second time playing it)

But I once watched my friends neighbor play EverQuest for over a day;possibly up to 30 hours

Like I said earlier,I take good care of my systems,so I don't work them more than 2-3 hours at a single sit-in

I've put systems through 50 hour strains with no problem. Not straight play, but play for maybe 10, take two hour break (with it still on) and then continue.

Well, as long as it's not a Sony system anyway.

Also, EverQuest? Come on, have your pal pick a better game. ;-) UO is the shit and always will be. 98-00 for life.

I played EQ for a long long time like that too. I think I probably played the longest on Descent 2 though with my friends at a lan party that went through a weekend. It was nuts.

Btw...Satori is the best rapper...ever.

I remember getting RE4 with a friend on the GC and we spent from about 6 PM that friday til about 9 PM that Sunday playing it. He had a second TV set up next to it, so we ate and played another game or had something else on in case the other one got bored, but it was pretty fun.

Otherwise, I think I average about 8-10+ hours when I first get my hands on a really good RPG. That lasts for maybe a weekend then I usually don't get a chance to pick it up for a few weeks.

Yes. Yes I am. I am the bomb rapper. Get ready for the video for that song, because I'm making it. I'll put it on YouTube when done.

I think my longest running with game playing was all day, then all night. Who would of thought you could have so much fun with a simple demo disk. In time, I think it was 18 hours. I don;t play as much as this anymore, I have other things to do these days. (yes, life has taken gaming away from me) but once I get Halo3, there will be no stopping me. If you want to hear a real gaming record, one of freinds once stayed up for three days and two nights playing X-box. He didnt' even stop to eat. I think he just waited for someone to bring in some food. I don't even know if he went to the toilet. Anyway, I bow to him as he is master of continuous gaming.

Yeah. That sounds about like half the two years I was playing UO.

One day when i was younger, my parents decided that "they would see how long I could play video games for until I got bored". The test lasted the whole day, only breaking for eating and bathroom. I think it was somehwhere between 16-18 hours. Yes I did eventually get bored, simply because I had played my whole Playstation library (multiple systems were unheard of at my age).

January 17th, 1992. Super Mario World. Started at 7pm, did not finish until 5am

May 17th, 1996. Resident Evil. Started at 5pm, did not finish the game until 4am WITHOUT a memory card. My friend at the time, was too cheap to buy one. So I had to learn how to play the game the hard way...
