The 360 is exactly what I want from a console. Maybe PS3 will have better graphics, maybe the Rev won't suck will have a nice library of games I've already played, but I'm happy with the 360 as it is.

the revolution by far.

I have a PC... and most of the games on the Xbox 360 I want are already on the PC....  plus... I won't pay $400 for a console.. I just won't.  I stretched buying the PSP @ $250.... which was a little high IMO.    Ps3... I won't buy one...

The Revolution IMO is the best system coming out .... price wise, feature wise..etc.  I really think this Nintendo system will do very well.... not just as a Nintendo fan, but by everything is has to offer.  PLUS the free online.... that's the best.  I would never pay for live at $50- 70 or whatever it is per year... IT may be worth it... but I get online games on my PC for free.... I just don't see the need to pay to play online. I'm sure there are thousands of arguments for that... I am just saying, I don't want to pay to play online.

But that's not the final price, I keep hearing "oh it's too much" and this and that, but the truth is, nobody really knows the price, not even Sony. Im really hoping that the price is less than that, I really want one.

it would be crazy if it was $400 when it came out... but IMO.. $400 is stil too much for any console. I've paid $700 for a Neo Geo AES back in 1993.... but IMO that is justified because you are basically buying an arcade machine for home use.... the games ARE the arcade games.

consoles aren' tlike that anymore... and they are trying to be more like PCs instead of arcade machines (in a generic comparison)..... and you can get better games on the PC... the PC games are normally better, better graphics, and a cheaper price. When a console can play games as well as PCs... then maybe it will be justified... but then again, you can do thousands of things a console can't. A console should be a console, and a pc should be a pc.... they should be seperate.

A console should be a console, and a pc should be a pc.... they should be seperate.

They're only similar in the sense that they upgrade in technology as it becomes available. To say that a console is trying to become more like a PC because a technically superior version comes out every so often is like saying an apple is trying to become like a pear because it grows on a tree.

Now if you were to say that consoles are becoming more like PC's because of services like Live, which enable expansion-like features available for download as well as online gameplay, then you may have an arguement. BUT if that is the case then you can't complain that a PC does more things than a console, because consoles are slowly enabling you to do more things (listen to music, play DVD's, etc.)

You can't put down a console for trying to become a PC and then put it down again for not being a PC.

Besides, no one's heard anything definite about the price. Sony is known to price their consoles competitively even if it means a loss to them. You can expect them to do this for the PS3. For the amount of technology you will be purchasing it will be a good price. Whether you need or want that much horsepower is completely up to you, but don't put the carriage in front of the horse, wait until Sony announces the price.

The PS3 most definitely will be my first purchase, but I will eventually be getting all 3. With some of the things I'm reading as of late the Rev may just jump ahead of the 360 as my 2nd acquisition.

Methinks you were willing to spend $700 on an arcade console and pay for online gaming (dwango, long distance bills, or that ...starts with a K that you used to play warcraft II on) a few years ago, but you aren't willing to pay that much now because of increased responsibility... :D

Back then, gaming was the most important thing in your life (it seemed) and it still is important (hense this site). Kinda like how I've dropped thousands on guitar equipment, and am still active in the music scene though I don't play guitar as much... Any of that make sense?

Like a Wonderswan? I never really knew what those were, but back in the day they were selling better than the Xbox in Japan. :lol

I already bought a 360 as for the ps3 i will buy that whenever Sony decides to realease it. As for the revolution I'll buy it about a year after realease and Nintendo drops it to 99.00.//////Unless I get one in my work then I'll buy it for whatever i give them for it $40.00. :lol
