NOW... this should be ONLY for people who have played both... I mean.. you should have played both to comment.  Who would comment on a system they haven't played? :lol

I have big hands and after a little bit of playing, the lite hurts my hands more. Plus I don't like the look of it that much.
 
Hmm, I can understand the hand thing when playing gba games, but all the games I have are heavy stylus based. How can you stand not having a back light? I hated having the original gba but didnt want to buy another gameboy so I passed on the SP. That is why I waited to get a DS till the second version came out.
 
I have both the original and the Lite at my house. The original is a little bit more comfortable on my fingers, but I love the LITE.

My vote goes for the Lite.

Yeah the Lite is just so much.... brighter!!!

and it looks way cooler in my opinion. I definitely like the Lite.

The only advantage I can see for the original is that the GBA game fits in all the way.
 
Well the one I used was the demo we got at the store I worked at before the actual release. Maybe the Lite is just so much brighter, I dont know :? I had a thought in the back of my head that the original had a backlight, but I remeber the Lite being advertised by boasting something about light but I knew they were going to release a newer version of it like nintendo does with most of its handhelds so thats why I waited. Anyways, I will just take my stupid sign on this one :lol :lol :lol
 
The original is too bid and clunky IMO and i've played the Lite and its awesome. Im planning on gettin if i can find a new job soon
 
I prefer the original. More sturdy and more rigid buttons. Feels better and more solid.
 
I prefer the Lite. The button, mic, and stylus placement make a lot more sense, IMO. I'm especially glad that they moved the Power button. On the original DS, the power button was right above the D-pad and I probably turned it off once or twice on accident thinking it was the start button.

Plus, the DS Lite just looks a lot cooler.

I do like the small hardware modifications, like the reconsidered placement.. however.. I still feel the aesthetics of the old DS are superior. ;-)

I have a Platinum and Cyan/Teal DSes. My girlfriend has a Blue, and I really like all of the colors. I still need to pick up the Pink, Red, and Blue DS for myself.
