Hi Esteemed Members.
I just back from our local "EB Games" store after buying "The Godfather" for the PS3.I frequent this store a great deal and the was fairly busy.Waiting in line to pay,I was looking around and noticed that there were far more teens and adults,as opposed to younger children. It could have been like this just on this particular day,so perhaps it may different next time I go in..but when I thought about it,maybe not.
I understand there is a lot of facts to consider. My first guess is that children from ages maybe 6 to 13 play more than higher aged people simply because they're unemployed, leading me to believe they have more downtime the the the older gamers but when you think about it,most of the kids of the lowest age group are in school from 7:00 A.M. to roughly 3:30 P.M. By the time they get home, change out of their school clothes, have dinner take a bath,it's almost time for bed.So with this in mind maybe these young ones don't get too much time to game.(Depending on the parent's rules).
Teen agers in most cases don't listen to their folks rules anyway so I imagine they are able to play more at a friends house at nights,or cuffing class during the day to game anywhere.
As far as adults who have children,if they're responsible parents are working all the time support they're family, thus giving them a lot less downtime to game.If I had to choose,I would say that teens probably game more than anyone.
How about you?
God bless,
