Who had veterans day off school/work?

I didn't. In the most gun crazy stare in the U.S., we didnt have this day off... :'(
 
Wow am I dumb. The days just fly by now I guess. :lol

It was Veterans Day today. I had to work. It's ok though. The men who died worked for our freedom every day without complaint.
 
We had a long weekend for Remembrance Day, I don't know if that's the same thing. We Canucks are a crazy bunch, but there's one thing that isn't crazy, and that's taking a day off because some guys most people know nothing about died a long time ago.

Joking aside, I think it should be a federal law that everyone has to spend at least 6 hours of their day off watching the History Channel or visiting someone who lived through the war. I'm a bit of a WWII nut, so I don't expect everyone to know as much about it as I do, but the lack of knowledge the average person has on the subject is staggering. When I get asked "what was D-Day anyway?" it really makes me sad.
