Ahh see: keyword "I prefer". I'm not saying what you said is wrong or anything but it's a classic "mistake" to say one system has a better variety than the other. In the technical sense, yes, PS2 has the most "variety" of games but 85% of those games are crap.

But for your needs the game cube lacks, and for others it's the xbox that lacks, and so on. For example, if your not the least bit interested in racing or fps games, than the Xbox is probably gonna be your least desired console. And that goes exactly vice versa, cause the cube definitely lacks in fps's and racing games. And it's not always the amount of a certain genre a console has but what titles. And obviously the Cube just has fewer games in general but it has a broad selection of "quality" games, and games that are just good ol' fashioned fun.
