You keep saying it, but we haven't seen anything yet so, as of now, there isn't much worthwhile on the Wii.fhqwhgads said:Developers already said they're doing that, now that they've seen it's actually a success.
I never said that. You keep using the fact that a bunch of devs said they'd try harder to make good Wii games as an excuse for its lack of titles and it just isn't. Nothing to do with rushing games...fhqwhgads said:Right, 'cause games not being rushed is so bad.
Your basically saying that yeah, there's crap out now, but developers said they'll do better. That's basically an excuse for bad games. As it stands, the Wii is still PS3ish in terms of library, regardless of what a bunch of developers said they would do. The proof is in the pudding as they say and I don't see any...fhqwhgads said:Because all you've commented on is the crap/minigameesqueness of the titles, and I've explained that. I never used it as an excuse for no games, how would that work?
wow. your smart. :lolMai Valentine said:The problem is that many sources are giving the PS3 a free pass for not having any good games right now while the Wii is getting all the criticism, even though they are both equally guilty of having crappy libraries. They both came out at the same time and both are hard to develop for; the PS3 because of the cell processor and the Wii because of the controls. And both systems sold the opposite of what everyone expected. Everyone expected the PS3 to sell like crazy because it was a PS3, and they expected the Wii not to sell very well. Instead, the opposite happened, and now developers are moving resources to shift their focus to Wii development. It's only been about eight months since launch, you have to realize. They can't do this overnight and they can't make AAA games overnight. So yeah it might take a while to see AAA third party games on the Wii.

I think its almost the opposite though.Mai Valentine said:The problem is that many sources are giving the PS3 a free pass for not having any good games right now while the Wii is getting all the criticism, even though they are both equally guilty of having crappy libraries. I'll use fhq as an example here because he's been an avid critic of the PS3. He says that the PS3 has a horrible lineup of titles and that it isn't worth buying, yet the argument that the PS3 will be getting good games doesn't change his opinion. Then we have the Wii, which also has a small library of good titles now and he uses the defense that developers are making better Wii games.
He's just an example, but I'm finding out the opposite of what you said Mai, because I often here people saying the PS3 sucks and it has no good games, but everyone seems to be ignoring the fact that the Wii doesn't have a lot of good games either. That's what I have gathered from my experiences at least...

fhqwhgads said:Most developers had at least one Wii game for launch, so how's the late development kits work?
Mai Valentine said:They were all ports, so they just had to modify them for Wii controls, which probably didn't take that much time.
I believe the only exceptions were Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids, which were both by Ubisoft, and Ubisoft was the first company to get the development kit.

No, the PS2 version was released 3 weeks (roughly) after the Wii one...Hinesmdc said:rayman raving rabbids was a port of a ps2 game
