Well, I got the money through PayPal... but there's another issue...

Turns out that it takes 3-4 days to transfer funds electronically from Paypal to my bank account, so I have to wait until Thursday. >_<_>_<_<_<_<_><__<>

Ah crap..I forgot about that. :-\

Bump.

My xbox died today. Im so ticked. I finally have a week when I have virtually nothing going on and I can't play my games. Grrrrrrr............and I know its going to take FOREVER to get it back with the stupid holiday season.

Why would anyone buy a system with a 50% failure rate?

Ugh, even though ODST and Halo 3 look cool, I might as well stick with my original Xbox just to play Halo 2 once in a while.

Oh man, that makes more sense now. Hm, anyway you can get $200 together to pick up an Arcade model by any chance?

Because it has some pretty darn good games. My first Elite is still going strong. It's lasted two years so far.

@mm: Sorry about your loss. I wish you speedy shipping.

A question for all you 360 owners. How many of you install your games on the HD? I want to see if this makes any difference. I always install my games to the HD.

Personally, I've never installed any of my games to the HDD. Sadly I only have the 20GB so that would have something to do with it. I'm thinking of tossing in a 250GB drive.

Also, I've had mine for almost two years and I've never had a problem with it either. Then again, I mostly use it as a HTPC substitute.

I haven't installed any games to my HD.

I have heard though that if you play Fable 2 it's better to play it from your HD because otherwise the system overheats trying to read the disc when it's loading.

I do have a problem where my 360 will not play FFXI and says it can't read the disc. I even tried different copies of the same game, no dice. And the discs aren't even scratched. But it will read other games fine, including games with scratches on the disc. :? Joy and I think it's probably just something with the FFXI install, so I'm probably going to uninstall it and then reinstall and see if that makes a difference.

I just got off the phone (for the 4th time in 3 days) with Microsoft Customer Service. First of all, Microsofts customer service is awful awful awful awful. I had a terrible experience the last time my xbox broke, and this time was just about as bad. Long story short, 1 rep and 1 manager told me it was covered under the warranty and 1 rep and a different manager said it wasnt, but the last manager I talked to said it was and that he was going to express ship it and everything for all my trouble and that it should be back before christmas. Yay!
