Wii Fit

even if we had one, the gym is still away from our house and you still wouldn't have the 5 minutes to go there and go back, and also you would lose more money on the membership itself... is it so hard for you to understand that wii fit might be a better exercise program (and a cheaper one) to be healthy?

It is hard to understand because in no way is Wii Fit a better exercise program, especially if you're only going to use it for 5 minutes a day. In order to see actual results, you need at least a half hour, maybe 20 minutes, and for at least 3-5 times a day. But what you also need to understand is that Wii Fit can not give you a full workout as other programs out there.

I just hope that people who do buy this game will use it for more than 5 minutes. Otherwise they will be disappointed. 5 minutes will probably only be enough to burn off a few calories, calories that you will regain just by eating a normal, healthy meal. And like other people have said, it takes more than just Wii Fit to be "healthy."

Agreed. There's also a ton of equipment that only gyms can offer.

No one's saying WiiFit can replace an actual workout, we're just saying it does do something.

like i said TONS OF TIMES even miyamoto himself said it.... wiifit encourages you to do both wiifit and outside wiifit programs for a full workout and healthy program, remind you this is for health not for muscles

Yeah I know that. I even said it myself, but you said that Wii Fit itself is a better and cheaper exercise program. Cheaper? Yes. Better? Not even close. So you do some aerobics and cardio. Cool, nothing wrong with that, but that's not enough. My point was also that I hope people don't believe that Wii Fit itself will make a BIG difference, because it won't. Wii Fit needs to be a supplement to other exercise programs, like Miyamoto himself has said.

Yeah, I understand the difference. I was talking about health as well. Yes, it will have some impact, but like I said before there needs to be more than just Wii Fit. But I guess we both know that already.

The way zidart explained, it seemed like he was convinced that Wii Fit could actually be a replacement. But if I got that wrong then I apologize.

yeah, it will do something. If used for more than 5 minutes a day, multiple times a week.

Zidart said it was more accurate than a three-day program, not that it could replace a workout.

no need to apologize sometimes i can't find the exact words i need to use.

well it can't replace a workout but like it was suposed before, for someone that doesnt have that much time in their hands playing wiifit might be cheaper and it would take less time of your life to do so (instead of driving for yoga class or paying for 1) and you can do some other exercises with it but nothing can replace a jog or weights, so a combo of both is a good deal

Cool. Glad we got that cleared up. :)

I agree with this.
