Wii GTA? may be possible

I was reading my favourite Nintendo magazine the other day and it had a small column, titled "GTA Wii?"
I will just copy an extract:
'Remember Reggie revealing he'd been talking to Take 2 - owners of Rockstar - about the possibility of bringing other titles to Wii?
Now a website claims Reggie's done "all he can" to get GTA onto Wii - and Take 2 have been undergoing some shareholder shenanigans that increase the possibility they'll look to profit from Wii beyond the exciting-looking Manhunt 2.'

Is it possible, I hope so :)

It had better not be a port of an earlier game with a different title.

Yep, I'm giving you, Prince of Persia, the stink eye... >:(

:lol
but yep I totally agree that it shouldn't be a port

No, it won't happen. Face it, no matter how much Reggie wants it, Nintendo doesn't want something as horrible as GTA touching their sacred Wii.

If they have Manhunt and Resident Evil 4 on the console (Voted no.1 goriest game of all time by Filter) then they'll alow anything. Nintindo says they are trying to expand the market of games to everyone. EVERYONE. That means to Tony Montana as well as baby jesus.

Resident Evil 4 really isn't that bad. GTA is just mindless violence with no real point, filled with hookers and coke deals.

Have you ever actually beaten-no-played a GTA game? It's a lot more complex than that, especially San Andreas.

yea but u cant compare RE4 to GTA, yea its gorry but not as immoral as GTA and u have to admit GTA is the eppitamy of immorality, but u do have a point about the market thing, so its a toss up

Yeah I guess you're right. It just pisses me off that everybody makes a big deal about the hookers on the street. It's more realistic-not graphic- that they are there.

its not that they're there, its mainly that you get health from using hookers and then you get the money back by shooting them, i mean i really dont have much room to talk b/c ive never played it, but i mean doesnt that seem wrong?

Its wrong IF you manage to get them in your car (DAngit ive been honking at you for 30 minutes b*** just get on the f*ing car!!!)

Yes, I have. It's horrible. Resi 4, you're what, killing dead people? GTA, you're killing anybody?

Well then, let's just leave this at "Some people perfer some games over others"

GTA shouldn't be kept off the Wii just because it's super violent. Nintendo wants to let everyone play the Wii and they are gonna try to get all kinds of games on the system. The four year old kid with a Wii doesn't have to play GTA, but there are plenty of people who do want to play it and Nintendo won't ignore that market.

Nintendo stopped doing that around Mortal Kombat 2/3 back on the SNES. The first game was just sweat instead of blood, and reduced / removed fatalities. MK3 has everything.

One of the bigger reasons is that both the N64 and the Cube had a heavily reduced amount of space on them (IIRC, a GC disk holds about 1/3 of a PS2 or Xbox disc). I don't think it was because Nintendo didn't want violent games.

But I know an eight year old who plays San Andreas. No matter if you like GTA or not, that's just not right. With all the families having the Wii, the little kids could get it.

ur right and i completly agree, but u gotta admit if nintendo is wanting to get away from the "kiddy" look putting GTA on the wii is one of the best ways to do it, so this whole thing depends on whether nintendo has more values or if they want to please more gamers, hmmm
