Wow, that is sorta pathetic...

In some ways I guess you could say that videogames have cost me many relationships. Having an interest in videogames and considering them a hobby has definitely kept me from forming relationships with some people. However, the opposite is true, I have met people and formed relationships around the mutual interest.

People have passions that cost them relationships all the time. Workaholics are a good example. Some people enjoy what they do for a living so much that they have little room for a relationship in their lives. That's not a bad thing, so long as that is what they want.

More to the point though, no, I've never chosen videogames over a girl, and I would feel somewhat pathetic if my lust for a videogame cost me a girlfriend. :lol

Spartan, dude, that was you like 2 months ago. :p

I guess since there are a lot of young teenagers playing, they wouldnt have had the opportunity to be in a relationship....I didn't really have one until I was 15 or 16.

I had my first girlfriend when I was 13 (3 years ago) :p

If you don't talk to them, it doesn't count. :p

I don't play video games enough to irritate a girlfriend or cost me a relationship, but I play them enough that they still make fun of me for it. :lol

videogames started my relationship XD so i couldn't answer that pol of the day

This somewhat reminds me of when I voted in the "Everybody Votes" Wii Channel on the question "Where do you prefer to be? Indoors or Outdoors" and over 60% of the votes were Indoors. Not as extreme as the Gamefaqs relationship poll but it just reminds me how much this generation has changed from the one 10-20 years ago where most people would have voted Outdoors.

But looking at the poll you can see that more people have been in a relationship.

Besides, I don't think that accounts for just internet obsession. Some may be true, but not always. I for one have never been in a relationship by my own choice. If I choose to be in one in the future sure (not really wanting one though), then so be it, but for now I'm just not looking. And yes, I regularly go to GameFAQs.

Over a third of all GameFAQers have NEVER been in a relationship! That is sad...
Don't forget to consider the age of those 1/3 gamers polled. That could be the reason why. You can't expect 8-13 year olds to have real relationships.
