In some ways I guess you could say that videogames have cost me many relationships. Having an interest in videogames and considering them a hobby has definitely kept me from forming relationships with some people. However, the opposite is true, I have met people and formed relationships around the mutual interest.
People have passions that cost them relationships all the time. Workaholics are a good example. Some people enjoy what they do for a living so much that they have little room for a relationship in their lives. That's not a bad thing, so long as that is what they want.
More to the point though, no, I've never chosen videogames over a girl, and I would feel somewhat pathetic if my lust for a videogame cost me a girlfriend. :lol
