Xbox 360 = Hardcore

not in a fanboyish way, and i will not bash you.

but let me say, to start off that to call a console "hardcore" is a fanboyish act within it self. hardcoreness is basically how "big" of a fan of something you are, and i dont see how one console is more hardcore than another. i agree, that the 360 has the most of my favorite type of games, and that i like it the best, but its not "hardcore"
 
It's not a fanboyish act. If the Wii is for casual gamers, than the 360 can be for the hardcore gamers. It's not how big of a fan you are, it's the type of games for the system. Blood and gore, cussing, sexual themes. Those help a hardcore game out. And the 360 has plenty of those. PLUS, the 360 isn't just for games. It's for so much more. It's a multi-media device. That's alot more hardcore than a simple gaming machine (nothing against the Wii).
 
And it can be argued that it is. But we're in a 360 thread. Talking about how the 360 is hardcore.

Wii = Casual
360 = Hardcore
 
i see where you are coming with that. i think the better explanation for it is, as you said, the wii is for casual gamers (although it can appeal to everyone(do you have one again???)) while the 360 is more refined, appealing more the the adult crowd, rather than the "hardcore" crowd

360 is a system that appeals to the casual and hardcore. I feel like its more moderate out of any of the consoles.

Wii is more casual no debate there.

PS3 is the most hardcore out of them all. Only hardcore gamers so far have gotten it, but with the price drops it could get some more casual gamers on the console.
 
I think the PS3 is the most hardcore. You have to be hardcore to pay that much for it. :p I'll wait for a price drop myself.

Seriously, though, I agree with Frodus. The 360, if anything, is the perfect middle ground console. It has games for both hardcore and casual gamers, and the price is just low enough to be an option for either kind of gamer.

The Wii is not hardcore. No argument there.

Exactly. Although, the 360 has alot more hardcore games than casual. Given the three though, it's the best choice for middle ground.
