Xbox 360 Problems

Ares

Ares God Of War
Anyone have any serious problems with their 360 yet?

I ask this because before I bought mine I browsed many forums about the system. I found a lot of threads about problems that required people to send in their systems.

Anyone here??

Obviously people never post in forums when their systems are working fine, so I guess thats why their are so many negative threads.

So far the only problem I have had was when Madden froze.... but I think thats normal. It only happened the one time.

Mine has froze a few times about a month ago. On King Kong and Prey. Has not happened since, but yesterday I was playing Madden 2007 and all of a sudden the system shutdown and a the circle turned red. I checked to make sure the Intercooler and plug were tight and booted it back up and it did not happed again. I think the Intercooler just does not plug in as tight as when the power is straight into the system.

My Madden froze at halftime when I hit the Resume Game button.
I wasnt too happy because it was the very first time playing and sure enough it froze. Since then it hasnt froze.

Mine doesn't freeze but it always says "can't read disk" even if it's the first time I played the game or if there are no scratches. It really tans my hide sometimes

ohh... thats stinks

Im wondering, Has anyone had any overheating problems???
Thats what was mainly on the other forum I checked out

The only problem I've had with mine is that it's froze twice on Need For Speed since I got the system. But other than that, no problems.

As for your overheating question? I've never experienced anybody's 360 overheating and mine's not in that ventilated of an area so I guess as long as you don't run it while having it sit on top of your heat duct it should be fine.

Well, I found what was wrong with my 360 was the intercooler was bad. I put it on my kids 360 and got the Red Ring of Death on theirs also. I have to go back to CC and exchange it tomorrow.

The intercooler hurt the xbox? Should I not use mine now?

No, it did not hurt the 360, just did not power it correctly. I just need to get another. This is the first time I got a bad intercooler.

Well I had problems connecting my Intercooler. My system wouldnt turn on, then I got it working. Think mines ok? the fans work

Should be. My fans got noisey and that's when I decided to pull it. I only bought the new one on Sunday.

Wow. Well I was freaking out last night when I put the intercooler on. It fit into the 360 fine but the power cable didnt seem like it was going into the intercooler the right way. I turned everything on and nothing would work. Then I just jiggled it a little and it turned on. Since then everything has been perfect.

I just went and exchanged it and am waiting for my Ninety Nine Nights Demo to finish downloading. I have had my 360 on for about 3 hours now straight and no red lights. Definitely was that intercooler.

This intercooler would not even power on. Man, two bad ones in a row. That is strange! I guess I will exchange it at a different Circuit City. Maybe it is the batch that this CC received is all bad.

I didnt have problems with mine i even used it as my dvd player for about 3 months then i got Oblivion and i got a This disc cannot be read error a couple times but ive had a lot of issues since i got dead rising i heard theres a HDD conflict that causes it so i may invest in a memory card to see if thats the case
