i have no idea if most of those things are good or not........pixel fill rate, polygon performance..........i guess the bigger numbers the better :lol

yeah... and Microsoft is comparing it to a PC.

They are stating that it can do what PC's can due to a 3 core processor or something like that (I read that in the Newspaper).

Didn't we see this coming in 2001 though? EVERYONE thought the Xbox was a mini pc. Microsoft claimed they were going further with the PC concept.... bringing in more devices into the playing field and combining them.

Honestly..... that is why I am most disappointed about the Xbox, but its also another reason why I like the Xbox. I am a PC gamer at heart. But I have said it before..... I buy consoles because they are DIFFERENT than PCs... and you get different things out of them. Once that line starts to blur, I will start becoming a PC only gamer. I just hope Nintendo can sort this out and learn to add some of these other featurs (online..etc) while keeping the system on a console level.

good point blu.. my personal opinion, I dont think that consoles should try and compete with pc's.. the xbox 360 is pretty powerful but i dont think it has every pc beat.. and when the consoles do start beating out the pc's it will only be a matter of months before the next prossesing chip and video card comes up and takes the top again. yeah having a hard drive and all is nice buy dont compare it to a pc..
 
Looks amazingly expensive. So long as I don't have to upgrade my console to play games PC gaming can go south, except for RTS games, which are lacking nowadays.
 
i read in an article that it said that xbox 360 will be$400 or more so yah it is pretty high priced it comes with removable hard drive so that could be one of the reasons ofthe price being high.
 
i was also wondering if anybody knows anything on the xbox live for this thing because a bunch well not really abunch almost all the gamers at my school said that the xbox live for xbox 360 will be free.
 
I doubt XBL will be free, just because they neeed to stop people from ranking up by beating their own accounts. That is why getting an XBL account now is so hard. Need valid credit card, subscription code, etc.
