XBOX to receive Mega Man Anniversary Collection

December 06, 2004 - Capcom announced today that Mega Man Anniversary Collection, already available for PlayStation 2 and GameCube, will at last come to the Xbox in March 2005.

The Anniversary Collection compiles the first eight Mega Man games, from the original NES titles to the PlayStation and arcade entries, Mega Man the Power Battle and Mega Man 2 the Power Fighters -- both previously unreleased in the States.

Xbox owners lamenting no time spent with the spunky blue platform/action hero, cry no more: he's coming. Look for more details on the Xbox version as they come in.

Do you think there's enough Mega Man fans on the XBOX for this to be worthwhile to Capcom?
 
Jeepin, well said. Most of the people I know (not online people Link, calm down :D) would rather play their Halo games rather than some good old-skool Mega Man.

I'm not one of those people, since I love all the old games.

and ... what Jeepin said is true. Most xbox owners have the romz or don't care about many of the older games.

I already have it for GC.

Mega Man...I think there's probably some XBOX owners who would love to pick it up.

I'm still trippin' over Sega bringing Super Monkey Ball to the XBOX though....now that...come on now, how many people that only own XBOXs would really give that a try? There's a lot that would just dismiss it as kiddy.

It's supposed to have like 46 new levels. I don't think it's going to be online but I'm not sure.

You'll need to buy back that GC for RE4 and Zelda 2005, so you might as well just keep it.
 
Uhm, I like Halo and I like Mega Man. You guys are making some off-base assuptions. A lot of xbox fans are also old-school gamers. :P

my assumption was romz-box :)

do you want to confirm that one for my Grindspine :)

I was stating that people may not want to "buy" it as much because they already have them on teh romz :lol :)

OF COURSE many of them like Megaman and old games.

I just worded my original statement wrong.

My roomie has some romz, that doesn't mean that we still don't buy games though, because, as you know, we do.
