You can pre-order a Wii at F.Y.E.

I'm not sure if F.Y.E. is a nationwide chain, although I've seen stores in both California and New York, so I'm guessing the chances are good. Anyway, a friend of mine in NY pre-ordered the Wii at F.Y.E. (it means "For Your Entertainment", in case anyone was wondering), and the projected price is $249.99.
 
I don't think there's an FYE anywhere close to me, although I think I'd rather wait for a EB/GS preorder anyway (not that I trust them 100% either after the debacle I went through with the 360 last year)

why would they allow that yet? They are the only ones doing pre-orders yet...

all other stores are staying away from it. Odd.

All I know is that I'm not pre-ordering until GameStop and EB start, because they are going to be the ones that actually get what they are allocated. Stores like FYE and GameRush and GameCrazy that are taking pre-orders now, are way more likely to get screwed down the line.

Game Crack...prolly...proving that gaming is as addictive as drugs everywhere. :lol

I got a little under $2000 for my grad party yesterday...definitely saving the money for the PS3 and anything else I need to go along with it. :D

But yes, if I reserve the PS3 and/or Wii it'll be at Gamestop/EB. 8)
 
GameStop is taking pre-orders for Wii games, though. And you might want to check with your local manager. I know some GameStop managers that are doing the following: If you have already pre-ordered games for the system, when we start taking pre-orders on the system, people with pre-orders on games for it will get the heads-up call first.
