It's making its rounds around those of us who work in it. So true.

so who do you think its actually fit and ready to work as a game designer? I know that in school they talk to us about the stress and problems that a sign language interpreter has to deal with however we were also told that those who have survived the program so far (the program i am enrolled in) have the passion to keep going and possibly work in the field.

that makes me wonder what kind of person would be ok and would have the passion to work in the game developing field?

That's a very difficult question. Passion is definitely a must. Most who start here tend to confuse their love for a hobby as passion for it. Yeah you may love it, but it's something you really don't know what it takes to actually get your game to stores.

But in the end, I would say the people who are not only creative but also very technical minded will excel as a video game designer. Knowing what the technology can and can't do and adapting your idea around that is very difficult. Creativity is great, but if you don't know or have the means to actually translate it into code it won't help much. I think that's why people like Cliffy B. and Gabe Newell are so successul as designers. They're not just creative, they know the technology.

If you haven't read this, then I recommend you do. It should give you a better idea of what I'm talking about.
