Zelda II: The Adventure of Link

I hate it. It's not fun hard, it's annoyingly hard. The game itself doesn't fit at all with Zelda, the direction is crap, half the enemies are overly cheap, leveling up is extremely boring, and the final boss blows.

Yeah, a lot of problems. But I kinda had fun with it for a while. Then I threw it aside and pulled out my ALttP. So much fun.

The second one was a side scroller, not even made y Myamoto I think, and a blemish upon the entire series, IMO. No offense, but I thought that one was the worst of the Zelda's.

Back in the day, it was rumored to have started out as a unreleased RPG that was given a face lift to change it into a Zelda title, much like Super Mario 2 (US), to cash in quick on the success of the first. I think it might be true cuz that would explain why it's so different from other Zelda games.

Well, considering there was only one Zelda at the time, they could have just wanted to try a few things.

Zelda II was my first Zelda game as a child, so my entire point of view of what the Zelda games should be like, has been very warped. :lol

it was my first Zelda too. How I wish I could go back in time and destroy this game before putting it in...
