Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube)

Re: Zelda Launch Date

I wanted this game years ago. I don't even care any more. Nintendo's been screwin everyone over with this title.

have you tried it yet?

and either way... I am not sure what the delay is... but I know I can't wait (along with a lot of other people). Perfect Dark 0 was pushed back forever, So were many other great games. For some reason, people are all cool with it when it's a game for another system. If it was Halo... it would be "but it's worth the wait." :lol

This Zelda is going to be great. If people want to boo hoo... they can go boo hoo. Fine by me :) It's going to be a fun game to play. I wouldn't doubt that this game breaks sales records... if it doesn't, oh well. I am just saying I wouldn't doubt it.

lmao...you've never even tried the ps3. I guess if you like 2 gamecubes hooked up together without updated graphics, you'll be fine. :lol...anyways...Xbox 360 made me a happy man when they released Viva Pinata....basically Animal Crossing, only better! :lol

@creepin, no, I don't have a copy at work. I wish I could so I could validate any claims about the game, but I guess I'll jus have to wait. By no means do I not want a Wii, it's jus that it's not my top priority cause of the 360 games coming out in the next few months.

Have you gotten a chance to play the PS3? And what games do you have up at work? Ive seen a few games at a couple conventions I was lucky enough to go to and the graphics on the Wii are really good. Not HD good, but really good. Far beyond the Gamecube. I know there are crappy games for the Wii out. Ive played them, but in no way do those even represent what the Wii is capable of. Same with the 360, except for Gears of war.

Speaking of Gears of War, Ill actually be at a friends house playing it and being online. Ill try to look you guys up.

Re: Zelda Launch Date

@ strubes... I'll believe it when I see it... a game that is as good as Animal Crossing.

Sure... there are other concepts... but I haven't seen any as good.

I'll say this. It's not entirely like Animal Crossing. It's more...idk...creative. lol when the pinatas get in fights, the blood is candy. :lol

@ creepin. I haven't had a chance to play the PS3 yet, but we will have a playable version this Wednesday, so I'll let you know. We do have a few games but I haven't checked into it. Umm, as for the Wii, I didn't know it was there till I saw a girl having a seizure. As I got closer, I noticed she was twirling around a wand, playing some virtual tennis or somethin on the Wii. Quite tramatizing. It looked more like the N64. Maybe it was jus one of the downloads though. I'm not sure. I did see that Red Steel wasn't what I thought it would be though. Graphics are PS2 like, so I guess that's a plus. The wii-mote doesn't work as good as I thought with the motion-sensing with the sword or guns, but hopefully that was jus a messup on the version we got.

Who set it up? It is actually quite a hassle to set it up the first time. After that it's pretty easy.

As for Red Steel, it looks like it didn't live up to the hype. I think that's more the fault of the developer, as a lot of the press has said the same thing.

Re: Zelda Launch Date

Also, it was kinda in part the media's fault. Sometimes they make too much hype over a certain game that doesn't live up to expectations. Let's hope the new Zelda isn't the same way.

Wow, I honestly can't believe this. Nintendo loves fans of their gamecube so much that they actually push back the release date of the most anticipated GC game so that it can be on another console for a couple weeks first. A game that has been completed for half a year already. A game that was hyped and promoted for the gamecube for nearly three years. Unbelievable.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Super Mario Galaxies was hyped for three years as a "must have" Wii title and then released on the Wii only after it was released on Nintendo's next-next-gen console first!?

It's moves like this that make me insure Nintendo never sees another dime of my hard earned money. Absolutely ridiculous, beyond all words or phrases.

For some reason, people are all cool with it when it's a game for another system. If it was Halo... it would be "but it's worth the wait."

If the completed version of Halo 3 is perfectly "sellable" and does not hit store shelves for half a year afterwards for some unknown reason (say, a movie release/game release tie-in) then your comparison will hold water. Until then, and not a moment sooner, it is apples and oranges. Nintendo is holding back the GC version fo Zelda so that people who "can't wait" (such as yourself) end up spending $300 on a game that costs $50. Of course, this wouldn't be the first time Nintendo pulled a stunt like this (Majora's Mask + expansion pak = $$$), so I shouldn't be surprised, but I'm still shocked. Deplorable.

Re: Zelda Launch Date

@Creepin. Me and my roommate finally had a chance to play the PS3 today at my work....for 3 hours. I jus couldn't pull away. I thought graphics couldn't look any better. Although similar to the 360 graphics, the PS3 did outshine them in the area. Although, this could just be because I don't have an HDTV at my apartment and that means everything to a 360.

yes it does... it means everything and the world. It has to be on a nice TV too. Not just any old HDTV. I mean it looks good anyway... but to really see the good graphics.

Nice. What game?

Re: Zelda Launch Date

Gamecube version is Dec. 12. LOL @ stealth for not buying it on principle. I agree with your point but at the same time there's no way I'm going to miss out on the best Zelda game ever. I'm already buying a Wii anyway, so another $50 doesn't bother me, especially considering how much they've tweaked the Wii version to make it different from the GC version.

Off topic but continuing what some have said, I got a chance to play the PS3. It was boring. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous, better than a 360 even. But I was playing Motorstorm and it's terribly boring after playing Excite Truck, even though it looks much better.

Don't forget guys, graphics don't mean everything. They are just part of the equation.

It was NBA either 07 or 2k7, but it was amazing. I guess we have a bunch of games in stock in the warehouse if you want me to check it out for ya.

Also, at Mai, everyone has a different opinion. In my eyes, Excite Truck is jus as fun and exciting as sticking my head in an oven. Honestly.

So Dec 12th is it correct? It's crazy because it's like Nintendo is ignoring it to death, they removed it from GameStop.com and EBGames.com release list.
