9/11

My wife and I were getting ready to leave and go shopping when I turned on the TV. I was putting on my shoes, staring at the TV in disbelief.

I was in 3rd grade. The school didn't tell any of the kids about it, but called the parents and told them to pick them up. My mom was out, and wouldn't be home for a while (can't remember why), so I, and everyone else left in school sat there, freaking out because 3/4ths of the grade was gone, and we didn't have a clue why. Oh boy did my school handle that one bad...

You sound like a guy that tells jokes at funerals. :-\

I was in 9th grade, and our principal popped up on the TV's and told us that something tragic had just happened, though shed didn't say what happened. I didn't find out until I got home that afternoon. Everyone was freaking the whole day.

I was only in 1st grade and my teachers turned on the tv. It was so upsetting seeing my mom cry after school. I strangely understood what happened and was in shock. My dad was deployed to war a week later. We were so scared and shocked.....

Man I remember that day. I was asleep but for some reason I woke up and I peeked my head out of my room, and from my door I could see the tv in the kitchen showing the footage. I was like OMG! It was so surreal. I went to school (college) as normal and it was very somber. Everyone was all quiet. I had a math test and the teacher felt bad about giving us a test given what had happened. And to make it worse, it was club week, so we had booths everywhere and everyone was just so numb.
