A Long Time Ago...

Someone made a post about what free online games they liked to play (if memory serves me it was Link). Well at the time my computer sucked hardcore and I couldn't download let alone run any of those games. Alas the dark ages are over, and I really want to know what those games were again, as well as any other games that people are playing nowadays.

Runescape is overrated, people only like it because it is free...
Isn't that what everyone likes about online games these days?

Anyways, you can try out "Gunz Online", its a MMORPG/Action game, pretty interesting but you can only do so much in that game and it takes ages to level up. Or you can try out "Rose Online", another MMORPG game, hard to level up as well. Both of these games server are always full so..yeah you'll be rarely playing these games around a certain time.

It was most certainly NOT Runescape, I hate that friggin game.

The main ones a mentioned where Gun Bound and Maple Story

I think I talked about Orbz as well, but that's not free.

Ya, I'm not a big fan of Runescape. I played it back in the day, but they've really messed it up since. Made it harder to level up, more annoying to even try, etc.

Gun Bound I already play, and this "Maple Story" sounds interesting. I also recall there was a game mentioned that was basically a CTF type game with flying triangles or something. I can't remember...

I like Runescape for a while, but when you died it was nearly impossible to try and recover. They gave you a billion tools on the training island, and if you die, you keep the 3 "strongest", not the most useful. Which actually left me with a bow (with no arrows) and two shields. Yea, let me use those and show the world my 1337 skills.

I eventually made about 5 accounts, until I just gave up, mostly because I could only remember one, which I died on.

Come to think of it, I haven't played Tibia in a long while either. But its a pain either way. If I play on PvP, I get threatned to leave or fear the wrath of a lvl 50 player, or play on Non-Pvp and listen to kids whine and moan all day, not to mention the guy who took my spear (as in stole after I threw it at an enemy) and wouldn't give it back.

Now you see why I don't play online much, I'll just stick with Warcraft 3 now.

Personally, I think any game where you have a persistent presence in the world (mostly MMORPGs) are too demanding. Eventually you will stop playing, then realize you wasted all those hours on something like that. It isn't MUCH different with other games, like Half-Life 2, Counterstrike, etc; where you strive to become better and play alot, but if you die in one of those games, you just respawn and have to find your weapons.

This is the number two reason why I don't do online games. It's way too demanding, and knowing me, I'll waste away my time online and never pay attention to the real priorities. Number one is my computer is too darn slow.
