I just think that in this case, if you're going to get something that's expensive anyway, you might as well get the best. Therefore, Blu-ray over HD-DVD.

Sony using the PS3 as a Trojan Horse for the Blu-ray format may have actually worked in its favor.
 
the problem with blu-ray is theres features that the PS3 blu-ray player and blu-ray players out in the market dont have features that HD-DVD has had since day 1 web-enabled content and bluray just got Picture-in-Picture video tracks witch still has bugs to be worked out
