Today I went to Wally World to return a hard drive and get a CD-RW when I saw a three pack bundle for $10. The games are Power Drome, Motorcross Mania 3, and Ford Racing 3.
Now I assume that Ford Racing 3 is cool, being that I have Ford Racing 2, but are the other games any good?? Was it worth the $10??

Come on Dart, any games with a pricetag that low has to be crap, I've never even heard of Power Drome before. How are the games anyways?

Well, I would have paid $20 for Ford Racing 3. I played it yesterday and I thought it was cool. The graphics are awesome too. One race track is set on a country road with farms and orchards on the sides. The leaves scatter when they get run over. I personally like it although I am biased when it comes to race car games.

Power Drome is a cross between Star Wars Pod Racer for the N64 and Wipeout. I haven't played that one yet. But it looks promising.

Motorcross Mania 3 is the Road Rash for dirtbikes. You basically race through tracks while performing stunts, and beating your opponents with various blunt instruments. The Cattle prod looks fun. :D

Bottom line, so far Ford Racing 3 is way cool. I'll give you an update on the other two in a few days...

But I am a collector. I love playing the games, but I also like to collect odd and unknown games. hey, that's how I found Rygar!!

Okay. I'm back to say that I have now played the so called "stinky gas station bathroom" games. And I must say that they are in my opinion very good.

Motorcross Mania 3 was a great game. I only did a single race and something called "battle Royalle" where you're on a dirt bike in an sectioned off area and all you do is attempt to beat five other riders off their bikes. The race was also fun. The track was in a forest setting. And you basically try to win the race at all costs by kicking, beating, clubbing or prodding your opponents off their bikes. And an added bonus, the track in certain sections is filled with tree-hugging protesters. And if you are a good shot, you can club them too. Oh, and when you fall off your bike, you can hear the sound of bones breaking. Nice touch!!

Power Drome is a pretty tough game. It's kind of set up like Wipeout. You're on some sort of craft, and you blow through the track at excessive speeds. The main difference between this game and Wipeout is the drivers are interactive. They trash talk when they are winning, and complain when they lose. Also, you can see your craft start to fall apart if you hit too many barriers.

Overall I am thinking now that these games were easily underpriced. And the only reason they can be deemed as "garbage" is because they weren't marketed like the powerhouse games for the PS2. Which in my opinion is sad.

I don't know man... I didn't think those games were rated that well... although I've never played them.... AND I have been known to enjoy some games that were rated badly as well :lol

Same here. But I have yet to find a game that absolutely despise. And I enjoy playing these games.

From what I've heard, MM3 wasn't that bad.

Motorcross mania 3 is a great game. The nice touch is how you can club overzealous environmentalists bent on closing everything to the public. And of course you can club your opponents as well.

I went to Wal-Mart the other day and saw the three pack in the Entertainment section of the store, when I saw it I just immediately thought of your topic Dart, I was like "Oh so that's what he was talking about." I grabbed to take a closer look and really couldn't believe my eyes, 3 PS2 games for $20. They had a whole shelf-full of them as well.

I paid $10 for mine!!

But hey, even if they were complete garnage, I wouldn't have been dissapointed that I shelled out $10 for them.

But one thing I don't understand though, it the PS2 version of Power Drome Racing got bad reviews, but the Xbox version got good reviews. And there isn't much difference between them at all!!
