Dragon Age Origins Thread (Update: Ultimate Edition includes everything)

I love DLC. If the game is worth playing in the first place, its worth getting the DLC. imo. And I really dont min paying a little extra, I get to play it sooner. :D

Also, I'm curious as to why you are so opposed to anything distributed digitally.

there have been a lot of rumor thread turned into topics about Dragon Age. Just go to the home page and search Dragon Age.

That'll learn ya not to buy DLC. It's a ripoff.

It looks like it's starting to trend that way, but at the moment, not all games get complete or GotY editions. So DLC is not a total rip-off. Plus, it could end up being cheaper if you only buy select DLC and don't care or want the rest. It's nice to have choices.

and if you can get the game/expansion on sale. :D

It would be cool if it did come with Awakening. That article doesn't say that it does though. But at the same time I would hate it cause I already have almost all the DLC.

The listings have no information at all about what's included in the package -- and neither EA nor BioWare have officially announced this thing, though we've asked for a comment regardless -- so it's anyone's guess as to what's included. If it were truly "Ultimate" it would include the Awakenings expansion and all the DLC.

If it's worth playing, it's worth putting on a disc.

Why would you get DLC on a disc? That would be ridiculous.
Personally, I prefer digitally distributed games, when it comes to PC, anyway. DLC is just, DLC. I wouldn't want a disc for every 200mb installment to the game. :P

Disc based media isn't always a profit. Why would someone want to have to manufacture content on disc for a higher price than put it through digital distribution. It's smarter and more cost efficient to have content digitally distributed.

Not to mention way easier. And no camping out for the launch. :P
