Post it up!

The DS will sell better. Nintendo has a larger handheld following. Sony frankly scares me. :o They forgot the golden rule. Keep It Simple Stupid.

Plus, the biggest reason is backward compatibility.

PSP, seen some prototype's and looks awesome. Looks so slick and clean looking and has the $ONY name behine it which will help sales. Nintendo has been doing it for a long time but $ony came in with the PSX and sold them like crazy even tho the N64 had better graphic, high priced games and a childest look. As soon as the PSP comes out every dad son kid dog cat and the Mighty Cockrotch will want one.

unless you have to drop $300+ for one.

ya but who would pay more for a hand held than a console. heck I'm too ceck to buy the new Nintendo handheld that 70 bucks or what ever.

They NEED to fire some of those money whores at sony then, how many 500 grand a year guys do they need. Give us a break, price will go down after launch anyway. PS2 cost 300 than 200 than 150.... probably only cost 12 bucks to make PSP anyway.

ya when production got cheaper, my mag says some things about PSP and a GENERAL idea of what the proce will be. will have to dig it up.

yeah..... but still $300 for a handheld is retarded IMO.

Do you all think the PSP will have better graphics than the DS?

Also, how do you think that widescreen screen will hold out?
I cannot image that being easy or cheap to replace... IE is there even a cover over it?

how will it react to being dropped..?

Sony's failure rate and PSP handhelds have me a little on edge... I mean moving parts in a handheld..... not sure on that.

I will not buy another Sony product. One moment you will be playing your PSP, and the next moment you will be getting disk read errors. Thanks Sony!

The PSP may have better graphics (doubtful), but they won't have Zelda or Mario. Zelda 64 on the go? I am like so there.

The thing is, you should not have ever had to replace the laser. A good system, like the SNES, Neogeo, or GameCube will last indefinitely most of the time or at least 8 or 9 years. To only last 2 1/2 years before having to replace a laser is not good.

I've never understood that complaint about Sony.

I've had my PS2 for almost 2 and a half years...I finally had to replace the laser about 2 months ago. That's the first and only problem I've had with it since I bought it. Mine's an import (japanese) PS2 - maybe that's the reason. And it's even chipped so I can play games from different regions on it.....and I STILL have had no problems.

I just don't understand this "Sony stuff falls apart" thing.

I do think there is the potential for more problems with the PSP...because of the circuitry and stuff involved - but that remains to be seen.

Ive had my ps2 for about 3 yrs now i think i don't think ive had any problems with it till lately but i think its from over use tho. I can't get its to read some games or dvds well it makes a good awfull noice while its trying to read it. I know its not the disk cause ive tried them on my brothers ps2. But if some one uses something all the time then ya its going to go eventually its a pain in the ass when it does tho =) hope mine doens't got soon

my snes never had any problems.... and I can tell you it got a HUGE 7-10 years of use :)

same thing with my N64 except 5 years of use.

My store manager at GameStop said the PSP is going to be $400. :o

I hope the DS sells better. It has backwards compatibility with GBA games, which should work to its advantage. But I think it will end up about even. There's a lot of Sony fanboys who will get the PSP just because it's a Sony product.

I don't even have the pre-ordering info yet..

are you serious... $400?!??!???!?!?!?
that is insane :crazy

talk about kicking gamers in the balls.

Heck, that is worse than the Turbo Express back in the day... and they can make things cheaper today.

about DS

he editor-in-chief of Famitsu Cube + Advance believes that the DS price will not be able to stray too far from the Game Boy Advance SP price of 12,500 yen. He believes the system will go from 14,800 yen to 16,800 yen
