Gas prices. -- $5 coming soon due to Hurricane Rita?

gas production is cut down to like 8% :)

we'll see if it happens or not... if there is damage ... and it takes long to get back up to where they need to be production wise, expect an increase.

What I don't get is.... IF we have to depend so much on oil from the middle East.... why is the gas prices so dependant on our domestic pumps? According to everyone attacking Bush before... the war was for "oil" .... or "Bush is in bed with the Saudi's for oil"....etc... IF that was true, our oil production should have little impact since we would be importing most.

Oh well.

Bv :hat

We get the oil from them and then in our own refineries (sp?) we turn it into gasoline. I believe thats how it is.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that is how it is. We have to shut our refineries down so now we can't make gas from the oil we're shipping in.
