But let's face it, not everyone plays GTA for the story, they play it to run over cops/hookers.
 
I want to play this GTA the most. Why? It seems deeper than the others before it. That's my thought on GTA4.
 
I think Rockstar is setting everyone up for disappointment. They're simply promising so much, and I simply don't know if they can deliver.

I will be tentatively awaiting GTA 4's release.

Well, there's another thread but I'm extremely excited for this game. Been watching all the videos as well. I honestly can not wait to play multiplayer and be a wheelman. :)

Trust me, they will once it's out and people play it! I know I have said this before about a few games, but this is truly the game that may make me finally buy a 360 :D

GTA has never been a perfect game. How can you say that this one is? How can you trust IGN on this one either? I highly highly doubt this game is 10/10 worthy but, I will be getting it and I will be playing it.

Even in the 10/10 review, they pointed out a lot of flaws, so it makes it seem like the score was bought.

Not only did IGN give it a 10 but mny other sites, gametrailers gave it a 9.8 and if u look a wikipedia if gives a whole lot of reviews...go check it out.

Agreed. No GTA has ever been a 10 in my book. They simply have too many technical issues to deserve 10's. I am guessing this game is extremely awesome judging by the gameplay footage I have seen, but 10 out of 10 does seem a bit generous.

I have to agree with Dan Houser. This isn't the first game that has gotten great reviews before the game has even come out. Look at Mario Galaxy and LOZ: Twilight Princess. These games got 10's as well if not close to them. Are people still talking about them today?

Twilight Princess was a bad game, Zelda-wise. Galaxy was great, but it wasn't filled with any real challenge or replay that would bring it to this point.
