Heavenly Sword discussion (including reviews)

Well it depends...if they have a story big enough to warrant the size, then go for it. But if they're just going to throw in random stuff that will drag on the story, I don't want to see it done. I'm glad Heavenly Sword is a shorter game, rather than trying to struggle through 30 - 40 hours of cut scenes and minimal game play.

well i don't wanna spent 60 dollars for a game that i will finish in less than a day, at least some replay value (i think this game has some replay value) would be nice you know XD, or else is just worth a rent. either way it looks like a great game

Most games you can beat in a couple days...actually...you can do that with almost anything but an RPG. It just depends on how much fun you can soak out of the game. I'll buy Heavenly Sword....no doubt beat it within the first couple days, and set it aside for a bit. I have a feeling it'll be like God of War in the sense that you'll get that urge to play the game later on.

The point of making a game thats not too long is good because your attention for it will die out if its like 60 hours.....

my the legend f zelda twilight princess time: 85 hours
tales of symphonia : third playthrough 67 hours
final fantasy XII: still haven't finished and i only got 70 hours and still willing to play more
god of war: 10 hours finished 3 times and starting god mode (to freaking hard for me)

the only problem with short games is that you pay 60 dollars for something that's over in a day or 2 :(

im willing to pay 60 for this one. its worth it even if its 3 hours. so it draws me in like ff 7 and 10 and those two are my favorite games of all time. now u r saying to yourself these r two completly different games but everythiing is perfect in this one.. trust me.. i got it already beat it.

My brother will most likely get this eventually, which means I'll get to play it every Wednesday night. For me, it looks very similar to a lot of games before it, most notably Spartan: Total Warrior and God Of War. I also hear that the motion control can be very intrusive, particularly when using a bow, is this true?

Oh no, not at all. If anything, the motion control adds an unbelievable sense of accuracy. There's no better feeling then picking up a body and hurling it...being able to control where it lands with the SIXAXIS controls. :D

You can actually lift bodies off the ground with arrows? That's got to be less cool than it sounds, otherwise it's the best game ever.

No, you're reading it wrong. You don't only use the SIXAXIS controller for arrows...but for anything you find on the battlefield.

well i played the demo of the game and i don't care anymore if it's short :) I LOVE IT, my neighborh has a ps3 and we are gonna make a mini-trade (trade my wii for his ps3 for a limited time only) and i'll rent this game to play it in that time

Um... OK. Not sure how that would work. Guess I'll have to try it to find out. I read a review and it said that you use the sixaxis to guide arrows. Is that not the case?

You CAN use it for arrows. That's not all it's limited to though.

EDIT: Don't know how that would work? It's quite simple really. Tilt left to guide left. Tilt right to guide right.
