What do you guys think about halo 3?
stealth toilet said:It is a very good game. The story, co-op campaign, online multiplayer, and overall gameplay were all very solid in design and execution. The game was pretty much what everyone expected it to be, and expectations were very high.
However that was sort of it's problem, it didn't really exceed anyone's expectations the way the first two did. While the Forge mode and ability to save videos of anything you did in the game were incredible (and in my opinion underrated features) the game never really felt exceptional. It accomplished exactly what it set out to do, but nothing more, and for that I voted good.
Doesn't that qualify as good?fhqwhgads said:I voted ok. I mean, it's a solid title, but it's not that amazing.
Well, maybe solid wasn't the best word. It's got replay value, graphics, and fun. No amazing gameplay or story.Homicidal Cherry53 said:Doesn't that qualify as good?

Ugh, for the last time, the books having good stories doesn't change the bare bones, 1-dimensional story in the games. To give you a comparison, it's like saying the Resident Evil movies had great storylines, because the story from the games was good.Strubes said:The story isn't only in the games...but I know you wouldn't want to read..it'd kill. :lol

AH, WHO TOLD YO...not at all Strubes. I'm not sure what you're talking about. :lolStrubes said:You'll never agree with me on anything. Sometimes I think you go out of your way. :lol
Okay then, I'll give you another comparison. The new Star Wars trilogy doesn't have a good plotline because the Original Trilogy does. Same situation here. The Halo books could be masterpieces, but that doesn't change the sub-par story in the games.Strubes said:But no..actually...ur comparison is off. The RE movies don't completely follow the story from the games. The Halo books are prequels to the games, showing how everything ended up the way it did.

Opinionated? Not at all. Liking the story in Halo is opinionated, however, it's just a matter of logic that different entries in a series aren't bound to the quality of the rest of the series, whether talking about plot, gameplay, whatever. It just makes sense that each individual entry should be based on the quality of that entry, not the series.Strubes said:I can see this is getting nowhere fast. There's really no point in arguing. It's just opinionated. :lol
