Seriously, that has to be one of my most disappointing consoles of all time. When I first bought it I had really high hopes for it, but aside from some key titles that came within the launch window of the system (Pikmin, Rogue Leader, SSB:M) there really wasn't much else on it (IMO of course, don't want to start anything, just makin an observation).
In any event,
Under-rated System:
GBA SP
-Yeah I know it sold well and did receive positive results, but it's compact design is what really made it great. I used to carry it around everywhere because it was no bigger than my wallet, and it came in handy in a lot of situations. DS, PSP... all good systems, but just to big and bulky to carry around everywhere. I thought the SP shoulda got more props for being the most portable system ever.
Under-rated Games:
Like everyone else, I could list a bunch. But for brevity's sake:
Winback: Covert Operations - Like Metal Gear for the PS1, but with less boring, and more awesome.
Dynamite Headdy - made by Treasure on the Sega Gen, nuff said
Pocky and Rocky - For the Snes, it was pure Japanese incredibleousness.
Heroes of the Pacific - Action Arcade-y WWII flying combat game made by Ubisoft with the best cloud physics ever.
Freedom Fighters - Pikmin, but with guns, and urban warfare, and communism. Hell yeah.
I'll leave it at that for now.![]()

To name a few; Pikmin 1, 2, Fire Emblem, Metroid 1,2, Wind Waker, Paper Mario, Baten Kaitos, Baten Kaitos Origins, Tales Of Symphonia, Smash Bro's, Double Dash, Sunshine, RE:Remake, RE0, RE4, Luigis Mansion, Eternal Darkness, and a pretty good chunk more. IMO those were all fun, good quality games. I also think the system itself was underrated as it seems to produce just as good if not better visuals than the PS2 and the controller feels very nice and smooth. Obviously, though, to each their own.
Edit: Forgot to mention that the GBA player was a pretty sweet add-on for the Cube.
stealth toilet said:Oh, I forgot to mention REmake, and Eternal Darkness. I agree that those games were great, and underrated. The rest I could do without, but I'll admit that's strictly personal preference. Also, on your remarks over the controller, I agree that the GC controller was pretty good. Soul Calibur on the Cube was by far the best thanks to it, and even now in SC IV on the 360 and PS3 I still find myself fumbling with awkward hand positions to accomplish that which came effortlessly on the Cube.
I guess in my mind it would have been better to take the few games that were fantastic on the Cube and put them on a console that had other really good games on it. So in that sense I don't see the Cube as a system being underrated, I see a sub-par system blessed with some games that ought to have appeared on other, more worthy, consoles. :lol
Also, no one mentioned Viewtiful Joe, which I thought was one of the best games to come out on the Cube.
