just bought my first gamecube

and I have NO IDEA what games are good. i bought a silver gamecube with metroid prime and wrestlemania XIX. i've been lookin at a couple of other games but i don't really know whats worth buying and whats not. i've been looking at paper mario, viewtiful joe, TOS, and a few others. Just need a few tips on some good games. or should i just sell everything i just bought and buy something useful... like a 360 game.

Don't listen to Strubes because if you don't like Zelda or Metroid (like him), you won't get much out of the Gamecube in terms of games.

I would keep the Gamecube and buy Super Smash Bros. Melee, Windwaker, Resident Evil 4, and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door, and all of those will proably still be less than one 360 game.

EDIT: Get Zelda Collector's Edition too if you haven't played many Zelda games before...

there's really only 2 or 3 games that are worthwhile on it.

thats a lie

zelda WW
metroid prime
metroid prime 2
pikmin
pikmin 2
mariokart DD
SSBM
Fzero GX

there are more i just dont feel like going into my room to look

but strubes, you cant tell me i'm a fanboy anymore.

Both Metroids, all seven Zeldas, both Pikmin, Chibi Robo, the Baten Kaitos', SSBM, Paper Mario, and more. That's 16 off the top of my head.

Lego Star Wars series. Geist is creepy cool. And Tales of Symphonia can be counted as good even though I haven't gotten very far in the game.

lol theres only 5 gfamecube zeldas
There's eight, now that I remember MQ. Zelda I, Zelda II, OoT, OoT MQ, MM, WW, TP, FSA. If we add in games playable on the GameCube, you've got a list of every Zelda.

Wasn't Geist good prerelease but sucked when launched? I heard that the only possessing certain people sucked and you were forced into it.

i've been playing metroid and i'm startin to like it somewhat but its not really my type of game... it dont really make me want to keep playing it. im more of rpg. Im tryin to get just the games exclusive to gamecube. The games that are only for that console are the funnest ones to me. and if theres a game that is on every console such as a sport game or what not, i usually get it for xbox because its what i've had the longest and am most comfortable with.

Card battling, except without the lameness of Yugioh you just thought of.

Okay, but there's a reason so many people in this thread said it.

I only liked Super Smash bros...which I don't need now that the new one's coming out, Animal Crossing, which I have the better version on the DS, and Resident Evil 4, which I have the better version on the PS2. I still think Tales of Symphonia's my favorite RPG, so deff pick that up. Or be smart and pick up a 360 that still has new games coming out for it.

"strubes doesn't like blah blah, wah wah"....oh well....lol I had a cube, and I have a Wii and DS. So you can't say I hate on any particular company. ;)

No, you just hate all the good games. I'll agree with your SSBM and AC, but that doesn't make the earlier ones any less of a buy.

good games? That's up for debate. The earlier ones are less of a buy if you have the other systems that'll play the same thing, and give you more out of it.
