u named a bunch that i'm interested in except for pikmin. i've seen it b4 at stores and heard about it but don't know what its like or if it's worth any time. i'm really starting to second guess my decision on buying this gamecube. or maybe i'm just not playing the right games. i'm not too much on zelda games. i love any mario game and i'm definitely interested in super mario sunshine, paper mario, and luigi's mansion if anybody can give me a good/bad on these games. i want to pick up Melee but im too afraid that it'll get boring and repetitive. And i'm definitely getting TOS next because i've heard a lot of good things about it. And what about any of the resident evil games? Which one is the best for GC?

Pikmin is hard to describe, almost like a cutesy RTS game that focuses on puzzle solving. Personally, I love it, but folks tend be very polarized about this one. If you're not into Zelda and prefer more traditional RPGs you may want to look elsewhere, because the 'cube is lacking in those. There's certainly nothing wrong with Mario Sunshine but it doesn't knock my socks off. Haven't played Paper Mario but I have played Luigi's Mansion and it was a very lame launch title IMO. As for Resident Evil, I love, love, love RE4, best game I've played in ages. I also have RE0 but I hate the old control scheme and haven't played it much. 1-3 are just remakes of the PS1 titles and those games feel very dated to me now.

Honestly, of the 3 last-gen consoles the Gamecube is my second favorite, behind Xbox and ahead of PS2. The WaveBird wireless is one of my favorite controllers ever, $15 used now at GameStop. I also have the GBA player cuz I like playing Advance Wars and FFT in the living room on the big-screen. :D

This is wrong in so many ways...

Just my opinion. I always hated the type of Resident Evil where the camera sucked and the gameplay was horrible, you know, traditional survival horror. Its just the way I feel about the entire genre in general.

Just 1 is a remake. The rest are ports. If RE1 Remake feels dated to you then I don't know what to say other than "Ok then."

Nah, I wouldn't know considering I loved those games and felt the gameplay was top notch and the camera system didn't bother me.

The camera system was what made the game for me.

Beyond Good and Evil is a good one, although it's multiconsole. Hard to find for any of them though. I'm glad I got the game when it came out.

I actually recommend Soul Calibur II. That also came out for all three systems but the Gamecube version had Link as a playable character. It's a fun fighting game.

Resident Evil 4, which many people have recommended, is also one of my personal favorites.

My biggest recommendation though is Tales of Symphonia. That's my favorite game by far.

Melee won't get boring. The Marios you listed are fun, yes, even Luigi's Mansion. Zelda, might wanna try it.

I actually really love Luigi's Mansion. It's short, but the gameplay is great. I still have it, actually.

yea me to, i only beat it once tho (worth buying if its cheap, i wouldnt say spending more than maybe $15 though)

It's around that at EBGames used. I didn't find it that short, but it was one of my first few Cube games. The final boss is hard because of the limitations on what you can do.

Was the last boss that huge Boo you had to break up into smaller Boo's, then freeze them or something. I remember I beat the game (twice actually), I just don't remember which one was the last boss, him, or King Boo...

Neither. The last boss was a large Bowser mech that you had to suction a few spiked balls and throw them back at him.

I thought that guy was part of a fight with King Boo...or something like that. I last played the game like 5 years ago so my memory of the game isn't exactly great.

Well the only good games i know of are

Resident Evil 4
Pikmen
Resident Evil remake

Hm this actualy tempts me to sell my gamecube and all my gamecube games so i can get a 360 game like Bullet Witch or Crackdown.

I'd keep your cube, unless you have a Wii. You never know when you're going to get the urge to play a Cube game. Trust me, I have a 360, PS2, and Wii in my living room. I periodically play each one. I just recently started playing Tales of Symphonia again on the Cube cause I had that urge!

lol, im probably to blame for that :lol

but yea, cube has good games, metroid prime, re4 (wii version is better, you know what to do) and zelda are worth it alone.
