I finally managed to get a hold of a Killzone demo.
From what I can tell, it's going to be a pretty good game.
The controls are a little weird to get used to at first, especially if you're used to playing FPS on the XBOX, where the controller is more suited for it. But the controls in Killzone soon become comfortable.
Basically, you move with the analog sticks as you would in any other FPS. R1 is the trigger for main fire, and R2 is secondary fire (grenades). The Circle button changes weapons if you have more than one. Triangle is for reloading. I'm not sure if there's anything for Square yet. X is used for many things, including melee attacks (you have to be close enough to your enemy for it to work). R3 (which is when you push down the right analog) is used for zooming when you're in a bunker and I think for sprinting when you're out walking (it may be L3, I don't remember exactly).
There's two different parts of the demo to play. One part is in a desert-type setting with bunkers and the point is to move from bunker to bunker and reclaim your main bunker. I've mostly been playing that one.
The other one is to move through the slums and find a certain area. I tried that one but it's a little dark and I couldn't see who was shooting me, so I died. :lol I'll have to try it out again later.
Anyway, it's definitely a game I'm interested in.
