O man this just made my day, check out this light gun shell for the Wii controller, now I really want Red Steel! Check it out http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707077p1.html
that would actually be pretty cool..Strubes said:Wait...are they calling their gun the Neo Zapper? :lol
meh.... over priced peripherals. :lol come on .... this could finally get some light gun games over to Nintendo's side... and I am all for that (being a fan of light gun games) :lolstealth toilet said:I smell overpriced peripherals on the horizon...
Bluevoodu said:@ creepin... I agree... but it would be WONDERS for light gun gamesIT Vampire Nights, House of the dead, Time Crisis, Silent Scope..etc.
Seeing this gives a bit of hope... as they are CATERING to 3rd party developers in this manner.
NOW... we just need to get more games using it!

You're the same guy who says one new button is worth 50-100% increase in price for controllers... x-p
Nintendo actually has new hardware and technology to go with this increase, assuming it happens. Such a humorous comment.
stealth toilet said:And how many different "shells" are Microsoft making for their 360 controller? You buy one 360 controller, and that's it, you're done. You don't need to buy any other accessories or "shells" or anything like that to "enhance" or "fundamentally change" how the game plays.
I'm not complaining about the price that extra wii-motes are gonna cost (I might if they are a ridiculous amount), I'm complaining about all the extra peripheral attatchments that are going to come out, sold separately of course. That's what bugs me about Nintendo, and that's what I fear. Sure the system itself may only be $200-$250, but once you're done buying all the controller peripherals, connectivity features, Game Boy Players... you're looking at a $500 investment.
I'm not saying this is the case with the Wii. But I will say that it was the case with the GC, and it looks to be happening all over again.
Sartori said:Creepin - The idea is that the Wiimote is flexible in all fashions - beginning with initial mobility and use - following with the ability to adapt to standard gaming mechanisms, IE the shell. Furthermore, the Neo Zapper will 100% play different than the Wii mote, much like the standard mote will play different than mote with nunchuck. It's as simple as that.
creepindeth said:It's flexible the way it is now, except for games that require the old standard type control. Of course Ill try it out before I totally knock it, but right it looks like just a novelty.
